ADMISSION TO 05 YEARS INTEGRATED M.Sc.(PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHEMATICS) INFORMATION FOR ADMISSION TO 05-YEARS INTEGRATED M.Sc. PROGRAMME- 2018 The following 05yrs Integrated M.Sc Programme 2018 are offered by various departments of the University as follows. The reservation of seats in different subjects in accordance with government rule of admission. Eligibility for 05-Years Integrated M.Sc Programme: Passed or appeared, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha/CBSE/ICSE or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Biotechnology / Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Geology / Statistics. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together. There is no age limit to appear at VSSUT Entrance Test-2018 for admission into 05-Years Integrated MSc courses in Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates must submit appropriate course completion certificate from the Head of the Institution, which they last attended, and copies of mark/grade sheets. 2. Subjects for appearing at VET-2018: All candidates seeking admission to 1 st year of 5-Years Integrated MSc in any subject shall have to appear an entrance test in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in one sittings as per the standard syllabus of CHSE, Odisha. 3. Examination Procedure / Valuation methodology: There will be multiple choice type questions. Each question shall have four answers (including one correct answer) and the examinee shall have to put a cross mark (X) only the appropriate answer (which he/she considers most correct) in black / blue ballpoint pen. Each correct answer shall fetch one marks. Each unattempted question will fetch zero. There is no negative marking. If more than one answer are marked for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer. 4. Candidates who have appeared in their final Examinations, but results have not been declared they may also be provisionally admitted to the 5 Yrs Integrated M.Sc.Programme if otherwise found suitable. However, they shall have to submit the final Mark sheet and pass certificate latest by 30 th September 2018, failing which the provisional admission shall be cancelled.
5. SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM The interested candidates shall download the application form from the University website: www.vssut.ac.in and send a hard copy of the completed application duly signed by the candidate alongwith the documents mentioned below by Speed / Regd. Post so as to reach the Dean, PGS&R, VSSUT, Burla by 16.06.2018. The envelope containing the application should be super scribed as Application for Master of Science 5-Year Integrated M.Sc. Programme in 2018. Documents to be enclosed: 1. Non-refundable demand draft of Rs500/- (Rs200/- in case of SC/ST Candidates) in favour of VSSUT, Burla payable at SBI, Burla (Code-2034) or Syndicate Bank, Burla (Code-8062). 2. Self Attested copy of certificate of 10 th / Equivalent Examination. 3. Self Attested copy of certificate of +2 Sc. / Equivalent Examination. 4. Self Attested copy of Grade sheets / Mark sheets of the 10 th / Equivalent Examination. 5. Self Attested copy of Grade sheets / Mark sheets of the +2 Sc. / Equivalent Examination. 6. Self Attested copy of SC/ST caste certificate, if applicable. 7. The Candidates, who have not passed the final +2 Sc. Examination, but have already appeared the above examination, shall submit the Final Appeared certificate of +2 Sc. Examination from the Head of institution last attended in original in place of documents mentioned in Sl. Nos.3 and 5. 6. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS i) Candidates will not be admitted into the Examination Hall after the commencement of examination and not allowed to leave the Hall until the end of the examination. ii) The Hall Ticket shall be produced duplicate of self-filled up Hall ticket at the time of examination, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination. iii) No traveling expenses will be paid for journey undertaken for appearing for the Entrance Examination. iv) Adoption of any kind of unfair means at the time of examination or taking part in any act of impersonation will render the applicant liable for cancellation of his/her script and forfeiture of his/her claim for appearing for the examination. Decision of the Convener, Admission shall be final in all these matters. v) Production of Hall Ticket and appearance at the Entrance Examination does not automatically entitle a candidate for admission. vi) Mathematical Tables, Calculators, Pagers, Mobile Phones and any other electronic gadgets are not allowed in the Examination Hall. vii) Paste here your recent passport size colour Photographs in application forms and hall tickets with signature & date.
