Non-Paper Format (Performance Tasks) Reading Aloud Pupils read a given passage aloud. Stimulus-Based Conversation Pupils respond to a given stimulus by engaging in a conversation with the teacher. They will be taught the TREES strategies.
Paper Format (Performance Tasks) Picture Composition Pupils write a composition on a series of 4 pictures. Helping words are provided.
Listening Comprehension Pupils are assessed on their listening skills, e.g. discriminating beginning and ending sounds of words; answering questions based on a passage they have heard. Term Test & Paper 2 Pupils are assessed on their language use, namely grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, synthesis and comprehension.
