9th Grade Application for Admission Contact: Diane Wilson, Admissions Coordinator 631-8865 ext. 205 dwilson@mountstmary.org EARLY APPLICATION & GENERAL APPLICATION PROCESS Early Application Mount St. Mary Catholic High School has an Early Application process for incoming 9th grade families who would like their child to be considered for early acceptance and enrollment at The Mount. An application will be considered for the Early Application Process when the following have been received at the MSM Admissions Office by 3:00 p.m. on January 19, 2015: 1. Submit completed Parent form, completed Student form, and $100 early application fee to the Admissions Office at MSM. (If your student is accepted for admission, the application fee will be applied to his/her $300 enrollment fee. However, the application fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee admission to Mount St. Mary). 2. Forward the Teacher Recommendation form and Release of Records form to your child s school. The school should forward the requested information to The Mount by January 19, 2015. Applications meeting the Early Application criteria will be reviewed, and letters of acceptance will be mailed to students beginning February 1st. Failure to meet any of the above requirements by January 19, 2015, will result in the application reverting to the General Application process. General Application Mount St. Mary will gladly accept applications for admission which do not meet the Early Application process criteria. These applications will be placed in our General Application process. A General Application includes: completed Parent & Student Forms, completed Teacher Recommendation form, as well as all documentation requested on the Release of Records form (a general application does not require a deposit). Completed general applications will be reviewed for acceptance after the Early Applications have been reviewed for acceptance and until the class is full. Admission Acceptance Priority Statement The MSM Admissions Committee will review applications for acceptance based on the following priorities: Catholic School Students MSM Legacy Students Public School Students who are Catholic Public School Students who are not Catholic *Applicants with a minimum 2.5 GPA in core subjects will be given the highest consideration. *Applicants whose core subject GPA is below 2.5 will be considered for admission following a personal interview.
