Course SLO Assessment Cycle: 2015 09/01/2016 Performance - Each student will independently develop and demonstrate their personalized exercise program relative to their level of physical fitness. Students will utilize fundamental exercise principles to facilitate an improvement with specific course related goals. 100% of the students develop an exercise program at the start of the semester. 85 % of the students will showed improvement in their overall fitness and weight loss through practical work and performance.. Shannon B Willliams Semester and Year Assessment Conducted: 2014-15 (Fall 2014) Of the 31 students who completed the assessment 25 of them was motivated after reviewing their results. (12/21/2014) Faculty Assessment Leader: Shannon B Williams Action: instructor will test student 4 additional times to insure more improvement, 25 out of the 31 students improved their performance after seeing their first test results This is a 81% success rate. (02/10/2016) Action: After 6 assessments over the course of the semester, 81% of the students met there age and gender goals. (02/10/2016) Action: In the future assessment results will be reviewed individually with each students to insure positive feed back is given. (12/18/ Semester and Year Assessment Conducted: 2014-15 (Fall 2014) 22 of the 27 students developed an increased heart rate, five students showed little improvement. Those 5 students Action: In the future paired workouts/assessments be implemented (01/11/2016) Generated by TracDat a product of Nuventive Page 1 of 18

Performance - each student will perform a one mile performance test. each student has the option to walk or run according to their gender and age based on the National fitness standards. 85% of students enrolled in this coure is excepted to meet their age and gender standards all students will performance 6 fitness tests throughout the semester to meet the set standard. need more individual instructions. though observation I notice when students work in pairs their focus was much improved. (12/21/2014) Faculty Assessment Leader: Shanon B. Williams 47 of 58 students enrolled in both sections of this course had an overall success rate of 81% for the fitness standard. (02/10/2016) Faculty Assessment Leader: Shannon B. COM: PE 105abc:Women's Intercollegiate Basketball Team SLO #2 - Students will describe various offensive/defensive strategies. Performance - Assessment of defensive lane slides which will demonstrate the strategic ability to guard an offensive opponent. This drill will measure proper footwork, agility, and speed. Students demonstrating excellence in this drill will make at least thirteen line attempts from free-throw line to free-throw line in 30 seconds. 13 students attempted to complete all assessment criteria 100% of the students completed at least 2 our 3 criteria 13 100% received a passing grade (02/26/2016) Faculty Assessment Leader: Brittney Blankenship Action: The assessment modules were effective but we had to modify our goal based on the skill set of our current players. (The majority should be able to make 17 touches) Recruitment and having better skilled players is necessary to achieve this goal. Myself and my staff will be more visible in regards to recruitment within the community, as well as, the cleaning of the facility (sweeping and mopping the gym more regularly to pick up leftover dust and trash). COM: PE 121abc:Off Seas Trng Wmn Sftball SLO #2 Fitness - Students will demonstrate improvement in the cardio respiratory endurance component of fitness. Performance - Students were assessed by running a 10 minute mile. Of the 28 students, I expected 20 students to be able to complete the 1 mile in 10 minutes or under. Performance - Student will demonstrate improvement in cardiovascular fitness by running the timed mile. Each student will train two times a week in class and will be assessed bimonthly. All times will be logged with the goal of continued improvements measured by the recorded times. 80% of the students will reach the standard time for the class. Semester and Year Assessment Conducted: 2014-15 (Fall 2014) Standard Met? : Standard Not Met 18 of the 28 students, were able to complete the goal time of 10 minutes. My analysis as to why the students did not all complete the mile under 10 minutes is because physically they were not in good enough physical shape and conditioning while only having three days of training a week was not enough time. (12/11/2014) Faculty Assessment Leader: Amanda Martinez 11 athletes participated in the assessment and weekly mile time assessments were taken. All 11 student athletes were timed in the mile on the first day of assessments in the mile run. At this specific time only 25 % of the students were able to complete the mile run in an acceptable time range between 8 minutes and 9 minutes. The average time on day one was 12 minutes. The training program was implemented as part of the weekly curriculum 2 days a week. By the final week 100% of students improved their times and endurance capability. 85% of enrolled students met the standard for cardiovascular fitness and received an A on this specific assessment. (02/18/2016) Faculty Assessment Leader: Joe Magno Action: The students needed to have been physically conditioning with me more days out of the week. (12/08/ Action: Null course Action: Additional Goals will include additional endurance activities. The purpose of the additional conditioning and cardiovascular exercise is to help the students achieve a 100 % success rate. The instructor will implement 6,5,4,3,2,1,1 100 meter runs with times recorded in addition to the mile run. (02/18/2016) Page 4 of 18
