Air transport courses Cranfield University has over 50 years experience in this sector. We delivered the first UK air transport management postgraduate degree in 1964 and continue to lead in this sector. Academic staff You will be taught by a wide range of subject specialists from the University and industry professionals who draw on their research and industrial expertise to provide stimulating and informed input to your learning experience. Here are some of the staff you will be taught by: Professor Keith Mason, Professor of Air Transport Management Keith has spent more than 20 years developing and carrying out research for airlines, airports, governments, civil aviation directorates and air transport industry organisations. He lectures in air transport economics, airline business models and airline marketing. Dr Robert Mayer, Lecturer in Air Transport Management Following careers in industry and academia, Robert is the Course Director for the Air Transport Management MSc and the Executive MSc and module leader for the economics, finance and strategy modules on the courses. He also lectures on airport ground operations and air cargo, while his research interests include airline marketing and economics, and air cargo. Dr Thomas Budd, Lecturer in Airport Planning and Management Thomas is the Course Director for the Airport Planning and Management MSc. His specialist areas of teaching and research include air transport and the environment, airport surface access planning and design, and climate change adaptation and resilience planning. This course has such a strong reputation in the aviation industry and is recognised and well known by many experts. During my time at Cranfield I built up a strong network, which helped me when I was looking for a job.
