Homecoming was a lot of fun. CONGRATULATIONS to the 2018 Junior Class for winning the Homecoming Float competition. Great job! All the floats were really creative. I would like to thank the PTA moms who helped out at the Homecoming Dance with concessions and in the coat/shoe room. Congratulations to all the fall sports teams - good luck as tournament play draws near! FHS STUDENT COUNCIL SPONSORED BLOOD DRIVE American Red Cross Blood Drive Sponsored by FHS Student Council Friday, November 4, 2016 8:00 am - 1:00 pm in the FHS Gymnasium Community members and students are needed to help meet our goal of 55 pints successfully donated. Meeting this goal will help us provide more scholarship dollars for college bound seniors. We are encouraging all FHS students to invite adults from the community to help us meet our goal. Both inviting students AND invited community members will be entered into one of two raffles. 1. Any FHS student who invites a community member who is a successful donor will be entered into a drawing for a Chipotle gift card. The more successful donors a student invites, the more chances to win. 2. Any successful donor from the community who is invited by a student will be entered into a drawing for an Applebee's gift certificate. Community members can register online via zip code and date at: http://www.redcrossblood.org/rcbmobile/drive/drivesearch.jsp Contact Gayle Dill with questions. gdill@fairview.k12.oh.us PTA AFTER PROM COMMITTEE UPDATES After-Prom for the Senior Class of 2017 preparation is underway. After- Prom is a PTA sponsored event designed to provide a safe, memorable, and fun place for our children to attend on their prom night. This wonderful event is very costly so we are busy with our fundraising activities. In addition, we are working on our website A huge thank you to the parents who volunteered their time at the football game concessions! Thanks to those who supported our 50/50 raffle at the football games. EASTER SEALS TRUCK: A huge thanks to those who helped make our Easter Seals Fill the Truck a success as well! You may have noticed the truck arrived late- a special thanks goes out to the administration who helped us work through a tough beginning! DECEMBER RAFFLE CALENDAR: We are now creating a 25 Days of Holiday Cheer December Raffle Calendar. Each donated item or monetary donation will be designed to a specific date on the December calendar. The calendars will be sold by the senior parents and at school events. They will sell for $5.00 and each buyer will be entered into a daily drawing to win the prize for that date, as shown on the calendar. We need donations for this calendar ASAP, by October 28th, in order to have the calendars printed and ready for sale in November. If you would like to donate, please contact Diane McVicker at dianemcvicker@gmail.com. Thank you for your continued support of the After-Prom Committee.
