Additional IB Information: Predictors of success in the IB program: The following information will be gathered from your student s school records (grades 6, 7, 8) in order for us to assist you in determining future success in the RHS IB program for your student: End-of-Grade Test data Level 3, 4, or 5 preferred Grades Attendance Explore Test data Teacher recommendation Parent/student interest in the IB Program Each student will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If any area is questionable, parents will be advised.
Preparation for the IB Program: Students in 9 th & 10 th grade will follow a recommended course of study in preparation for enrollment in IB courses in their 11 th & 12 th grade. At least 50% of courses in 9 th & 10 th grades will be honors level classes including English, Science and History. Students in 9 th 12 th grade will maintain a B average in all classes. Students will be counseled individually at the end of each grading period if grades, attendance and/or discipline become a concern.
