Parent teacher Association Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs / improvements The involvement of faculty is to improve the academic affairs through various co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities. Faculty members are actively involved in the Industry Institute Interaction, financial reforms, disciplinary committee, etc. Whereas students are involved in various co-curricular as well as social activities. Students performs many activities through the Departmental Associations like Aptitude tests and group discussions. Mechanism / Norms & Procedure for democratic / good Governance. There is meeting conducted by the Principal with all Heads of Department every 15 days regarding the activities in the departments. Heads of Departments in turn conduct the meetings with staff members and convey the minutes of the meetings and vice versa.
The Principal also conduct the meeting with the whole staff every month. Thus, there is a continuous sharing of ideas which enables staff and then in turn student to work on new activities. There is a student Council. Class representative for every class, who is the ranker of the class and work as link between students of his class and staff members. In this manner, all grievances and requirements of the students are conveyed to the staff and thereafter solved. Norms and Procedures for academic deliveries are as per MSBTE guidelines which are democratic and transparent. Student Feedback on Institutional Governance / Faculty performance. Student feedback is collected every semester regarding the faculties and other requirement in the institute and department. This feedback is collected under the guidance of Heads of Departments. The Points in the feedback are: 1. Preparation of the faculty for lectures. 2. Presentation Skills. 3. Communication Skills. 4. Interactive Teaching. 5. Relevance to the topic. 6. Percentage of syllabus covered. 7. Availability of the staff outside class rooms, etc. In the addition to this, suggestion box is kept outside Principal s office for students. Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students. Students can contact Head of Department through respective Class teachers for academic grievances, whereas in case of administrative grievances, students can meet Principal with Heads permission. Faculties can meet either Head of Department or Principal directly for redressal of any grievances.
