It was a great course, with options for everyone, and we couldn t have asked for better weather! And as with all fundraisers, the proceeds benefit the best cause there is: CCE students! American Education Week is quickly approaching: it is from November 16 20. We are looking forward to parents and guardians visiting classrooms and spending time at Charles Carroll! Grade level teams have selected specific days and times during which we are asking parents to visit and observe in classrooms. Please know that parents are welcome on any day and time during this special week, but we are asking those who are able to visit during these time frames to try to do so because of limited parking. Also, please remember to come prepared with photo identification so that we can provide you with a visitor s pass. The preferred days for visitation for each grade level are listed below. November 2015 Math: Grade 3: Students are developing strategies to solve for an unknown in an equation. Grade 4: Students are describing variables and their relationship to one another in their Record Makers and Breakers unit. Grade 5: Students are exploring the concept of ratio and equivalent ratios. ELA: Grade 3: Students are learning about the shared oral inquiry process. Grade 4: Students are creating their own version of a writing piece that parallels our mentor author and text. Grade 5: Students are reading from Junior Great Books and learning how to interpret the classic literature selections.
