Nursing course for the academic year 2018-19 at IKDRC College of Nursing, a Constituent College of Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences (GUTS), Ahmedabad. SPECIALTY: Medical & Surgical Nursing with Nephro-Uro Super-specialty DURATION OF THE COURSE: Two Years NO. OF SEATS: 10 CURRICULUM: As per Indian Nursing Council and curriculum designed by the GUTS ELIGIBILITY: The candidate should have passed Basic B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Council. The candidate should be medically fit. Minimum 1 Year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. SELECTION: Selection will be based on the rank obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GUTS. Preference will be given to female candidates. In case of equal cut-off marks in the CET, all the candidates with the same marks will be called for personal interview. Merit List will be displayed on the website and Notice Board of the University.

If the candidate does not pay the fees within five days, admission will be cancelled. No refund will be given after fees are paid. If candidate leaves the course in between, above mentioned fees will not be refunded. Security deposit will be refunded ONLY on successful completion of the course and after NOC from relevant Department Heads. Fees mentioned above are for the present period. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS 1. All interested candidates having the eligibility criteria mentioned above can download the Application Form from the above mentioned website. All the entries in the form should be clear, legible and correct. Please do not try to alter the form in any way. Candidates are advised to print the application form on one side of paper only. 2. The application must be accompanied with self-attested copies of all the required certificates. Candidates in-service must apply through proper channel and submit No Objection Certificate from the present employer in format given in Application Form. Selected candidates must submit Migration Certificate within 1 month of admission. 3. The completed and signed application form with all necessary enclosures should be mailed to The Vice-chancellor, Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences, IKDRC-ITS premises, Civil Hospital campus, Asarwa, Ahmedabad- 380016 on or before 20 th August, 2018 by Registered/Speed Post/hand delivery only. An envelope containing the Application should be superscripted APPLICATION FOR M.Sc. NURSING COURSE. Applications sent by Fax, E-Mail, Photocopies or any other form will not be entertained. 4. Duly completed application form must be accompanied with a Demand Draft payable at Ahmedabad for Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand and Five Hundred Only) drawn in favor of GUTS, Ahmedabad. Demand Draft submitted with this form includes CET fees and is not refundable in any case. 5. Incomplete applications will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Applications received after the last date will be rejected, and no grounds for delay including postal delay will be entertained. 6. All passport size photographs must be identical, snapped with front profile, showing full head, face, and shoulder and with both ears and taken without wearing any Cap/Hat/Head dress/ Sun glasses. Polaroid photos are not acceptable. Photograph must have been taken on or after 1 st January 2018. 7. PDF version of the Admit Card shall be sent by e mail to the eligible candidates. If an eligible candidate does not receive the Admit Card, he/she may contact the Office of the Vice-chancellor, GUTS, IKDRC-ITS premises, Civil Hospital campus, Asarwa, Ahmedabad- 380016 on or before 4 th September, 2018. Candidates can print this PDF version and produce it at the Examination venue along with a proof of identification.
PATTERN OF THE EXAMINATION: a. There will be MCQ (100 marks) to be completed in 100 minutes. b. Topics for the test will be from B.Sc. Nursing Syllabus only. c. Candidates with minimum 50% of marks in CET will be eligible for selection. d. Merit list will be displayed on the GUTS website and Notice Board of the University. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: a. The admission and continuance of Registration of the candidate shall be subject to the GUTS Acts, Rules and Regulations and Orders as may be applicable from time to time. b. Mere submission of application / appearing and qualifying in the interview will not entitle the candidate to claim admission to the course. The candidate should note that if not found eligible, the candidate will not be granted admission. c. No TA / DA will be admissible for attending the written test and joining the course. d. Candidate will have to submit all original documents at the time of admission / counseling. Out of these, Documents listed below will be returned to the candidates only at the time of their leaving the course/ College. (1) Passing /Degree Certificate from the concerned University. (2) Mark sheets of the University Examinations for the whole of the qualifying course. (3) Document to prove the date of birth. (4) Registration certificate from the State Nursing Council. e. Candidates should report at the Examination Centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall 10 minutes after commencement of the Examination. f. Candidates should not carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material, mobile phones, Ipod, mp3 players, pagers, calculators or any such electronic gadgets except the Admit Card (without envelope) inside the Examination Hall. If a candidate is found to be copying/conversing with other candidates /to have in his /her possession any of the above mentioned objects, he/she shall be disqualified from appearing in the current examination. g. Queries related to admission / registration will be addressed by the Vice-chancellor, Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences and in case of dispute, decision of the Vice Chancellor, Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences shall be final and binding on the candidate.
