Through the use of an age appropriate educational curriculum, young learners will cover the building blocks robotics and programming. Children will build, play and program their robots, organize their ideas with LEGO StoryStarter, and be introduced to coding with Scratch! KIDS Grades 4-6 TEENS Grades 7+ Learn To Code 1 An introductory program to coding, scripting and debugging! In these classes, students are exposed to logic, coding, and testing principles. Students will be introduced to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript by building their own website, or they will learn Python by creating an interactive game from scratch! These courses are hands-on and good beginners as well as students who want to keep reviewing their current coding knowledge. Grades 4-6 Weekend Coding Students will learn how to use Python, a scripting language that is a great building block and foundation programming! Kids will learn to code and build mini projects within Python and work towards building their first simple video game. These courses focus on coding principles and will teach students logical thinking. They will create art pieces that teach different design techniques using specific Photoshop tools. Students will be provided with a Photoshop license the duration of the program. In the Stop Motion course, students are introduced to basic film production concepts including storyboarding, character development, staging, and post-production. KIDS Grades 4-6 TEENS Grades 7+ Video Game Design Unity is a physics-based game engine that allows students to add objects and create mobility with special effects. Students will create a simple video game where the basics of game objects, scripting, and manipulation of in-game components is taught using introductory video game design principles. Intro to Video Game Design with Unity 16 classes $540 + HST KIDS Saturdays 10:00 to 11:15 AM Oct. 13 to Feb. 23 TEENS Saturdays 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM Oct. 13 to Feb. 23 Payment Option: 4 monthly payments of $135 + HST. Video Game Project: Treasure Hunt RPG 16 classes $540 + HST Saturdays 1:00 to 2:15 PM Oct. 13 to Feb. 23 Students focus on developing a fully-fledged game in Unity with instructor supervision. Students must have completed at least one video game course in Unity to enroll in this project-based course. Payment Option: 4 monthly payments of $135 + HST. Grades 2-6 Winter Camp 2019 Our camps are based on the STEAM principles of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Camp days are dynamic - packed with a range of mixed arts, science, and technology activities with outdoor and team building time.
