Primary School APPROPRIATE CLOTHING Now that the weather is deteriorating, please could you make sure that your son is sent to school with appropriate clothing. We aim to give the boys outside breaks whenever possible, and will take them outside if it is cold or drizzly. There are also times when they may need to move between buildings even when it is raining hard. It is therefore vital that they have some sort of raincoat. Raincoats should be dark blue or black (with reflective strips, if appropriate) and be named. Boys may also wear school woolly hats (available from the Uniform Shop or Primary Office). Games lessons also will happen in drizzly weather, so it is important that boys bring a change of uniform and a towel on Games days. House Football for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 This year House Football will take place during the school day. Hopefully it will be a more convenient way of running it for everybody no more remembering kit, no more changes to after-school arrangements, no more is it on / off debates whilst looking at the weather forecast. Matches will be played one afternoon this term and one afternoon next term. This term s matches will be played on the following dates:- Year 5 and Year 6 (both classes): Monday 14 November Year 3 and Year 4: Wednesday 16 November All boys will be involved in the House Football competition everyone will play in at least one match and will have the opportunity to spectate and support during the other matches. On their House Football day boys should come to school in their usual football kit and track suit, bringing boots and shin pads. They should also bring a warm coat (and maybe woolly hat) to wear when spectating. As the matches take place during the normal school day all boys will finish as usual at 3.15pm. If the weather is bad the competition will be postponed to an alternative date. If you wish to watch the matches you are welcome to attend at our Bagatelle Lane field from approximately 1.30pm. Please could you email me if you do plan to attend, so that I have an indication of numbers. There is some building work going on at the field so young children should not attend or should be very closely supervised. Dogs are not allowed at the field. Unfortunately we are unable to allocate parent parking for this event. Children in Need Cake Sale Friday 18 November. Organised by the PTA.
