Fabian s 16 year tenure on the Board At this time, I would like to congratulate Mr. John J. Fabian, Jr., who was recently recognized by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association for 16 years of service to the Susquehanna Township School District as a board member. In recognition of this honor, I am pleased to present him with this certificate and to announce that he has been added to the PSBA Honor Roll of School Board Service. I would like to say thank you for giving of your time and financial expertise to this community of learners. Your commitment to the school district through this unpaid volunteer service demonstrates a genuine commitment to the education of our youth. Congratulations to Raquel Summerford who was recognized as middle school teacher of the month by the Susquehanna Township Rotary Club. This recognition includes a financial contribution to the Hanna Education Foundation in her honor. Our marching band took 4 th place at the Atlantic Coast Championship, held at the Hershey Park Stadium on November 8 th. These same fine musicians finished 2 nd in the United States Band Association held in Annapolis, Maryland on November 6 th with a score of 96.35, which was less than 1 point from being the top finisher.

The reorganization meeting of the school board will be held on Monday, December 7 th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Keiser-Fearen Library Media Center. New board members will be sworn into office at that time, followed by the election of officers, with the exception of treasurer. SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS David W.
