LECTURER (5 Positions)- AC/12/87/17- (CAE) Applicants must be holders of a professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent or a professional degree in Landscape Architecture. In addition, they must have PhD or equivalent degree qualification (or a Master's degree with teaching experience at university level) in at least one of the following specialization areas:-history and Theory of Architecture, Architectural Design, Urban Design, Building Technology, Housing and Landscape Architecture. They should be registered or registrable with the relevant professional boards. In addition they should have a minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be in refereed journal papers, as calculated using IAFAPAS. Applicants should also show evidence of continuing research. Recent PhD and M.Arch graduates (at most 5 years since graduation) will have an added advantage and are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels. They will also be expected to supervise and undertake research in their areas of specialization. 2. TUTORIAL FELLOW (16 POSITIONS) -AC/12/88/17- (CAE) Applicants must be holders of a professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent. They must have an academic interest in Architectural Design and at least one of the following areas of Architecture :- Environmental Design in Architecture, History and Theory of Architecture, Urban Design, Building Technology, Architectural Conservation, Interior Design in Architecture and Landscape Architecture Recent B.Arch graduates (at most 5 years since graduation) with evidence of admission to M.Arch or equivalent program will have an added advantage and are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be expected to assist in teaching at undergraduate degree level. They will also be expected to undertake research in their areas of specialization and prepare for registration with the relevant professional boards. DEPARTMENT OF REAL ESTATE & CONSTRUCTION 1. LECTURER (2 POSITIONS) AC/12/89/17- (CAE) MANAGEMENT: Applicants must be holders of earned PhD from recognized university and specializing in Construction management or Construction law or Real Estate.They should have a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry. Applicants should have demonstrable experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects. Applicants should be registered by the relevant Registration Board and/or Professional Body. 2. TUTORIAL FELLOW- 1 POST- AC/12/90/17- (CAE) Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor s degree and a Master s degree qualification from a recognized university and specializing in Construction management, Quantity surveying or Real Estate. They are expected to have registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree or demonstrate clear evidence of progress towards PhD. registration. Applicants must be registered or registrable with the relevant Registration Board and Professional Board. DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND INFORMATION ENGINEERING 1. LECTURER (1 POST) AC/12/91/17- (CAE) Applicants should be holders of a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. They should have a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience at University level or in research or in industry. In addition they should have a minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be in refereed journal papers, as calculated using IAFAPAS. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students in one of the following areas; Electrical Generation and Power Systems, Power Electronics and Control Systems, and Electrical Machines and Drives. They will also be expected to undertake research in their area of specialization. 2. TUTORIAL FELLOW (2 POSTS) AC/12/92/17- (CAE) Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor s degree and a Master s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from universities recognized by the Senate. They are expected to have registered for a relevant PhD. degree or demonstrate clear evidence of progress towards PhD. registration. GRADUATE ASSISTANT (3 POSTS) AC/12/93/17- (CAE) Applicants should be holders of First Class Honours or Upper Second Class degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Nairobi or any other university recognized by the Senate. The applicants must also be registered or registrable with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). They are expected to have registered for a relevant Master s degree or demonstrate clear evidence of progress toward Master s degree registration. DEPARTMENT OF URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING 1. LECTURER (1 POSITION) - AC/12/94/17- ( CAE) Applicants must be holders of an earned Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Regional Planning from a recognized University. They must have at least three (3) years of University teaching experience specializing in community planning, social issues and culture in planning and/or participatory planning, and has demonstrable experience to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students research projects and in guiding rural, urban and regional planning studio. The applicants must fulfill the following two mandatory requirements must be a Registered Physical Planner by The Physical Planners Registration Board (PPRB); and must have a minimum of 24 publication points of which sixteen (16) points should be from refereed journal papers. DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL AND CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING 2. TUTORIAL FELLOW (5 POSITIONS) - AC/12/95/17- ( CAE) Applicants should be holders of a Bsc. in Engineering, MSc. Degree in Civil Engineering or MSc. Information Systems from a recognized University. Those with proven experience in handling university students will have added advantage. They are expected to have registered for PhD. Degree in Civil Engineering or demonstrate clear evidence of progress towards PhD. Registration. The successful candidates will be expected to support in teaching and coordination of tutorials of undergraduate programs. 2. GRADUATE ASSISTANT (2 POSISTIONS)- AC/12/96/17- ( CAE) Applicants should be holders of BSc. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent (at least Upper Second Class Honours) from University of Nairobi or a University recognized by the Senate of University of Nairobi. Registration by a recognized professional body is an added advantage. LECTURER, SCHOOL OF THE ARTS AND DESIGN ( 1 POST) -AC/12/97/17- ( CAE) Applicant must have PhD or equivalent degree qualification in any area of design such as Product, Interior, Fashion and Textiles, Graphic and Illustration. They must have at least (3) years teaching experience at University level or in research or industry. They must be registered with the relevant 3

Successful applicants will be required to enroll for masters degree in Petroleum in Petroleum Engineering in the following areas:- Chemical & Process Engineering, Reservoir Engineering and Well or Production Engineering.
