TASK Using the Hatchet Kesi document, Select the YELLOW highlighter to find difficult vocabulary Select the GREEN highlighter to highlight descriptive words Select the BLUE highlighter and highlight examples of dialogue Note: It is a good idea to always set the parameters for your students

Extracting notes Once you have completed highlighting, File Extract Notes and Highlights

Annotating- Task Using the tools on the floating Study Skills toolbar, add at least one STICKY, TEXT, and VOICE note to the Hatchet Kesi document. Explore the difference between a sticky note and a text note.

Test Taking - Locking K3000 Features The Lock Features tool is password protected

Opening an Existing Document When you open a text-based document with Kurzweil 3000 it opens in its native format (Word-Doc) You can open image based documents such as TIFF or PDF documents (you cannot work on/save to that original, and (Imported) is added to make the distinction that you're working on a copy)

TASK 1. Open the two sample quizzes found on my Aftershare site 2. Use the tools palette to answer the quiz (Highlighters, Circling, Text note, etc)
