Uniform Policy The St Leonards school uniform colour is bottle green. Tops must be bottle green with red accents and school logo (available from the school uniform shop) OR Bottle green polo with collar from other retailers. Bottoms must be bottle green and free from all logos. Hats are compulsory outside during Terms 1 and 4. These must be bottle green, broad brimmed and free of neck cords. Note: Red tops are for Year 7s only. Footwear Children should wear comfortable shoes which allow safe participation in all activities including PE. Examples of inappropriate shoes are ballet flats, thongs, slip-ons, wheeled and heeled shoes. Please remember unacceptable items include: Black, denim or grey clothing. Visible non-school logo clothing. Necklaces, dangling earrings or chokers Make up. Hooded tops or tops with drawstrings round the neck. Note: Leggings and bike shorts must be bottle green and worn under dresses and skirts only. If students are unable to wear uniform on a particular day, communication from parents/caregivers is required. Uniforms should be in good condition. Torn or defaced uniforms are not acceptable. In keeping with the schools principals of social justice, the Principal may arrange for uniform items to be made available to families in extenuating circumstances. Ambassadors Our Ambassadors are selected each year after an application process and interview. This uniform has been designed in collaboration with the ambassadors and the school. This uniform is provided by the school and is used for formal occasions such as Anzac Day Dawn Service and the Principals Tour.

Soccer Soccer is played during Terms 2 and 3 and is open to students from Year 2. Students in Reception and Year 1 can attend training sessions. St Leonards school uniform should be worn for training sessions. Soccer uniform is required for matches. Soccer Tops $45 These can be purchased or hired at the start of the soccer season. Purchased tops are made to order and can be personalised with a number and name on the reverse. Black Shorts Available from sports stores or other retailers. Red Soccer Socks Available from sports stores or other retailers. Shin Pads Available from most sports stores.
Netball Netball is played during Terms 2 and 3 and is open to students from Year 3. All participants must play in St Leonards sports top and either the school skort or school sports shorts. T-Ball T-Ball is played during Terms 1 and 4 and is open to students from Reception to Year 4. School sport uniform is to be worn.
Indoor Volleyball Indoor Volleyball is played during Terms 2 and 3 after school on a Friday night at Brighton Secondary School and is run by Spikezone. School uniform is to be worn for all games. Beach Volleyball Beach Volleyball is played during Terms 1 and 4 after school on a Friday night at Brighton Secondary School on the beach courts and is run by Spikezone. School uniform is to be worn for all games. Students are not required to wear shoes for Beach Volleyball.
Year 7s Year 7 polo tops and windcheaters are an optional item available only to Year 7 students at the start of their final year at St Leonards. The Year 7s have input in the design. Both items feature the student s names on the reverse. These are worn at school with great pride and help identify our senior students who have many mentoring roles within the school. Prices vary year to year. Available to order for a limited time in Term 1 only.
Sports Day We have four house teams at St Leonards Buffalo, Holdfast, Patawalonga and Saints. Students are placed in houses when enrolled. Families are placed in the same house. On Sports Day, students are encouraged to come dressed in their house colours. Leading up to the event each year, T-Shirts are available to order in house colours as illustrated in sizes 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and adult sizes.
SAPSASA As a school we are lucky to have so many talented sports persons within the learning community. Students are able to participate in many interschool sporting events. Students have the opportunity to progress if successful and represent our district or even the state. SAPSASA uniforms are loaned to all school participants and are returned after the event laundered. SAPSASA hoodies are available from all state events, and with the Principal s permission, may be worn at school for one week after participation at a state event.

Uniform Shop Our Uniform Shop is run by volunteers and is located by the Cash Office. Second hand items are also available for a gold coin donation per item. Payments can be made by Eftpos or cash through the Cash Office. Opening Hours Monday Friday 8:30am 9:00am Donations of good quality second-hand uniforms are welcomed during these times. Personalisation Personalisation of outerwear is available at the end of each term at a cost of $6 for initials only (not full names). This process is completed off site. Items are available for pick up at the start of the following term.
Special/Casual Days The Student Representative Council run casual days to raise money for a charity or a cause that is important to the school community. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation in order to wear clothes other than uniform. During these days, it is important to remember the school sun safe policy ensuring no bare shoulders. Harmony Day At St Leonards Primary School, we are very proud of our cultural diversity. On Harmony Day, students are invited to wear cultural dress or an orange accessory. Book Week Book Week is celebrated in Term 3. During Book Week, a special assembly is held. Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character on this day.
