The post is not suitable for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates. Persons with disabilities need not apply. Age Limit: 18-30 years as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age limit relaxable by 05 (five) years for SC/ST and 03 (three) years for OBC candidates against reserved vacancies only. Essential Qualification: Matriculation or ITI or Equivalent from recognized Board/ University/ Institution. Last date of receipt of application: 22/01/2018. Nature of Duties: i) Any job of assistance/help related to hydrological, meteorological observation, flood forecasting, survey & investigation of water resources projects, snow observation, silt observation, plying of boat, operation of machines, watch and ward, gardening, office upkeep/cleaning etc. ii) Any other duties assigned by officer in charge. Posting: The above posts are temporary but likely to continue. The posting shall be at the jurisdiction of M&A Directorate, CWC, Jammu i.e. any place in the state of Jammu & Kashmir/ Himachal Pradesh including remote places such as Lahaul & Spiti (HP), Leh (J&K) etc. Mode of selection: The candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in Matriculation or ITI or Equivalent examination. No Interview will be conducted. Shortlisted candidates shall need to qualify the prescribed skill test/ physical tests. How to apply: Interested candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria shall necessarily submit their application ONLINE ONLY. For online application please visit the website www.cwc.nic.in and click on Work-charged Recruitment System. Select preferred region as IBO, Chandigarh and circle office as Monitoring & Appraisal, Jammu. Candidates should carefully read the instructions given in the home page of Workcharged Recruitment System before submission of online form. After submission of online form, the candidates must take a printout of the submitted form, sign on all pages, affixed a passport size photograph (same photograph as used in online application) in the space given / right hand side upper corner of the form and keep this with him/ her for next stage of selection process i.e. skill test/ physical test. Candidates are not required to send this printout to this office but advised to preserve it carefully

as this printout along with any of the below mentioned proof of identification will be an essential documents to appear in skill test/ physical test later. Proof of identification: i) Unique Identification Card "Aadhaar". ii) Voter Photo identity card issued by Election Commission of India. iii) Passport iv) PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department. v) Driving License issued by RTO. vi) Photo identity card having serial number issued by Central/State Government. vii) Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School/College for their students. viii) Nationalized Bank Passbook with photograph. ix) Credit cards issued by banks with laminated photograph. x) Photo identity cards having serial number issued by Public Sector Undertaking of State/Central Government, District Administration, Municipal bodies and Penchant Administration. Candidates already employed in Government/ Semi- Government organizations need not submit online application. They should submit the application on plain paper duly typed as per the online format and forward the same to this office along with documents/ certificates as mentioned in the online application through proper channel superscribing the envelope Application for SWA -candidates employed in Govt. / Semi- Govt. organization. Skill test/ Physical test: Skill test/ physical test will be conducted to determine physical fitness of the candidates. This test is only of qualifying nature and no marks will be given for this test. First stage will consist of running a stretch of 01 Km in 05 minutes for male candidates and 07 minutes for female candidates. The candidates, who will qualify the first stage, would only be allowed to participate in the second stage. Second stage will consist of carrying 15 Kg weight for 500 m stretch in 10 minutes for male candidates and 12 minutes for female candidates. The candidates who qualify both the stages would only be considered for final selection. Verification of documents: Verification of documents will be done on the day of skill test/ physical test. Candidates are requested to carry the printout of the application and proof of identification as mentioned above along with following documents in original and a set of photocopy for verification before appearing skill test/ physical test. i) Proof of age. ii) Mark sheet/ certificate of educational qualification(s). iii) iv) Certificate for SC/ST/OBC. Passport size photograph (one spare copy of same photograph as used in online application). Important instructions & General conditions: 1. Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidates. 2. Incorrect/ incomplete applications and/or applications received after due date shall be summarily rejected.

3. No representation/ correspondence on such rejection(s) shall be entertained. 4. Short listing shall be done in 1:3 ratio of number of vacancies based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation/ ITI or equivalent examination after scrutiny of all applications received as on last date. If more than one person is getting equal percentage of marks then the candidates with higher age shall be given preference. 5. Shortlisted candidates shall be called for skill test/ physical tests. No TA/ DA shall be given to the candidates. The list of the shortlisted candidates for skill test/ physical test will be displayed in the website of CWC: www.cwc.nic.in. 6. Final merit list shall be prepared in respect of candidates who have qualified in skill test/ physical tests. 7. Vacancies will be filled as per the available approved reservation roster(s). 8. All legal disputes shall be in the jurisdiction of honourable High Court of J&K state. 9. The final decision on the recruitment rests with the Director, Monitoring and Appraisal Directorate, Central Water Commission, Jammu. No further correspondence from the applicants will be entertained in this regard. 10. No weightage/ preference will be given to the higher qualification(s)/ experience(s). 11. The panel of qualified candidates will be kept for 01 (one) year for consideration and the vacancies arising due to non-joining/ resigning after joining etc. will be filled from the panel as per merit list and as per vacancies. 12. The final list of candidates selected for the post will be displayed in the website of CWC: www.cwc.nic.in. 13.
