It must conduct the Academy within the terms and requirements of: a) The Articles of Association; b) Any legislation or legal requirement that applies to academies: c) The Academies Financial Handbook; and d) The Funding Agreement between the Secretary of State for Education and the Academy Trust. It has two levels of governance as follows: Members - who have ultimate responsibility for the trust achieving its charitable objectives. They sign off the articles of association and have power to appoint and remove trustees. Governors - who collectively as the board of governors deliver the three core functions common to school governance: 1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction; 2. Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and 3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure it's money well spent. There are four members of the Trust as follows: Members Date of Appointment Harry William Turner- Chair of Governors (ex-officio) 18 th September 2013 Rupert Andrews Chair of Governors Finance Committee (ex-officio) 16 th March 2017 Jane Mursell Vice-Chair of Governors (ex-officio) 18 th September 2013 Diocese of Salisbury Educational Trust (DSET) Foundation Member represented by Vanessa Herrick 18 th September 2013 resigned 31 st July 2017

Subject to remaining eligible to be a particular type of Governor, any Governor can be re-appointed or re-elected. When appointing new Governors, the Governing Body will give consideration to the skills and experience mix of existing Governors in order to ensure the Governing Body has the necessary skills to contribute fully to the Academy s development.
