INTRODUCTION ABOUT AEEE The Aviation Engineering Entrance Examinations (AEEE) was formed in the year 2015 for the purpose of holding Entrance Examinations for admission to the Higher Secondary and Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the State of West Bengal. It in conducting Entrance Examinations for various professional Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate level courses in the State. For the 2018 2018 academic sessions, the Board will conduct the Entrance Examination for admission to Higher Secondary and Undergraduate Courses in Engineering. It is the Common Entrance Examination for admission to different degree level courses in Aviation Engineering 1) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering 2) Aeronautical Engineering 3) B.Sc. (Hons) Aerospace Engineering 4) B. Sc in Aviation 5) Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
2. MODE OF EXAMINATION: The Paper will be conducted in Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode only. 3. TYPE OF EXAMINATION: AEEE 2018 shall have only one paper, Section 1, Section 2, Section 3 and Section 4. Candidates have to appear for all sections at a same time mention as per the course(s) they are seeking to. Subject combination, type of questions and mode of examination is available in the table given below. In every subject, all questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with five options against each of the questions. 6. MODE OF ANSWERING: Questions are to be answered on specially designed machine readable answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet). ANSWERS ARE TO BE MARKED (BUBBLED) USING ONLY BLACK BALL POINT PEN ON THE OMR ANSWER SHEET. It is to be noted carefully that besides answering the questions, candidates has to fill in as well as bubble in all other relevant information including the Question Booklet No etc. at the indicated places on both OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet during examination. 7. CHOICE OF MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPERS: All Examination Centre Cities English Medium The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage. 8. MARKING PATTERN: a) Only one option is correct. b) Correct option will yield 1 (one) mark. c) For any combination of more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -½ (negative½) marks. 9. CITIZENSHIP: Applicant must be a citizen of India. 10. AGE RESTRICTION/ DATE OF BIRTH: 1. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Courses: Candidates must be at least 16 (sixteen) years of age and must have cleared their secondary exam. Only science stream can apply this course.
2. Aerospace Engineering: Candidates must be at least 16 (sixteen) years of age and must have cleared their secondary exam. 3. Aeronautical Engineering: Candidates must be at least 16 (sixteen) years of age and must have cleared their secondary exam. All streams (science/ commerce/ arts) can apply for this course. 4. B. Sc in Aviation: Candidates must be at least 16 (sixteen) years of age and must have cleared their secondary exam. Only science stream can apply for this course. 5. Commercial Pilot License (CPL): Candidates must be at least 16 (sixteen) years of age and must have cleared their secondary exam. All streams (science/ commerce/ arts) can apply for this course. Date of birth as recorded in the Admit card of the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered as an Age proof. 11. USE OF CALCULATOR AND COMMUNICATION AIDS: Use of electronic devices like mobile phone, tab, calculator etc. is NOT PERMITTED in AEEE - 2018. Materials like log table, book, notebook, etc. should NOT be brought into the examination hall. 12. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN AEEE 2018: The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AEEE - 2018 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination. Those appearing in these secondary examinations in the year 2018 session can also appear in AEEE - 2018 provisionally. A candidate can attempt AEEE a maximum of three times in consecutive years irrespective of whether or not he/she passed the Qualifying Examination.
13. CITIES/TOWNS OF AEEE - 2018 EXAMINATION CENTRES: AEEE - 2018 will be conducted in major cities and towns of INDIA. The lists of cities are given in the list below. While applying, candidates must select one centre cities. Normally, the requests for change of centre will not be entertained. In this regard, the decision of the Management will be final. 1. APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR AEEE 2018: In order to appear in AEEE - 2018, the candidates are required to apply ONLINE at the portal address mentioned i.e. www.aeee.co.in
The candidate needs to visit the portal and CLICK the link apply for AEEE 2018 and thereafter will be directed to the actual application form. The form is interactive in nature. As soon as the cursor is pointed to a certain field, a cursor tip message will be shown to the candidate to assist in filling up. In case of difficulty, the HELP icon placed right next to the field will redirect the candidate to that section of the Brochure which deals with filling up of the said field. Further, please see Brochure for detailed guidelines for online form filling. Applying Online and Submission of Application form: The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. After filling all details and successful submission of details, an Acknowledgement Page with Application No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Acknowledgement Page and keep it for reference. The Acknowledgement Page is not required to be sent to AEEE Secretariat. The candidate will need their User Id and Password for all subsequent login. 16. PAYMENT MODE: The application fee payment can be made: (a) By credit/debit card, or The candidate has to select Debit / Credit Card option to pay the fee and follow the instruction to complete the payment process. (b) By depositing fee in SBI bank through Demand Draft (DD). After successful payment, candidates thereafter will get the Confirmation Page. The candidate can take a print of the confirmation page and logout. Alternately he can save a PDF copy and logout and take the print later. Also he can simply logout and login later to print the confirmation page.
Confirmation Page: Generation of the confirmation Page means that the candidate has been successfully REGISTERED. The candidate should take a printout and preserve the confirmation page for future reference. 17. THE FEES (in Indian Rupees) FOR AEEE -2018 IS AS FOLLOWS: The Aviation Engineering Entrance Exam (AEEE) 2018 fees will be Rs. 500 + bank s transaction charges per candidates (both boys and girls). 18. ADMIT CARD FOR AEEE 2018: Admit cards will be generated on the notified date for the student to download and take a print. The Admit Card can be downloaded from AEEE website i.e. www.aeee.co.in from 30 th of March 2018 onwards. PRIOR TO DOWNLOADING THE ADMIT CARD, THE CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO LOG INTO THEIR PROFILE BY PROVIDING THEIR USER ID AND PASSWORD ON THE AEEE WEBSITE. The candidates are advised to download their admit cards from AEEE website only. The Candidates are also advised to regularly see AEEE website for updates. Candidate has to carry to the examination centre a printed hard copy of the admit card along with a photograph identical with the one uploaded earlier. Candidates are advised to retain their admit cards carefully in secured place in undamaged condition in all respects till completion of admission procedure. The candidature shall also be cancelled if he/she fails to produce any of the required documents in original as specified earlier or if any document is found to be faulty during counselling/ admission/ registration. A call centre will also be functional on all working days from 10.00 AM to 6.00PM for general facilitation. The phone numbers of the call centre are available on the website of AEEE.
19. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR CANDIDATES DURING AEEE 2018: Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their Question Paper only. Any conversation or gesture or disturbance in the Examination Room/Hall shall be deemed as misbehaviour. If a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonating, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred for taking examination either permanently or for a specified period according to the nature of offence. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, Calculators, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, and bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device, except the Admit Card inside the Examination Room/Hall. If any candidate is in possession of any of the above item, his/her candidature will be treated as unfair means and his/her current examination will be cancelled & he/she will also be debarred for future examination(s) & the equipment will be seized. The candidate shall not remove any page(s) from the Test-Booklet (in case of Pen and Paper Based Examination) and if he/she is found to have removed any page(s) from his/her Test Booklet, he/she will be presumed to have used unfair means and shall be liable for criminal action. 20. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS: The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at AEEE shall be limited to 03 (three). 21. SCORE AND RESULT FOR AEEE 2018: The score of Paper-I of AEEE 2018 for all candidates will be declared by May 2018. This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of AEEE 2018 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in AEEE 2018 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met.
22. INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE: Before filling up the application form the candidate should have a scanned image of his/her photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression (right hand thumb in case the candidate do not have left hand thumb or any finger if both thumbs are not there). These scanned images are to be uploaded during the submission of application form. The photograph should be colour & clear contrast. It should be without cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed.
Candidates with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected. Candidates may keep 4-6 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination, Seat Allocation Process and Admission. 25. SCHOLARSHIP: Top three scorers / rankers will get the scholarship as per the results. 26. COUNSELLING: Counselling will be of three days. And will start in the month of May. As per the ranking/scores candidates will get the option to choose their courses and colleges. 27. APPLICATION FORMAT: The information given in the first column of the following table will be asked in the Online Application form. The instructions to fill up the form have been given in the second column.
