The Russell Group produces a guide called Informed Choices to discuss the FACILITATING SUBJECTS These are Maths, English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History and Languages The Russell Group advises young people to take at least two facilitating subjects to maximise their chances of going to a top university Russell Group Advice
We had some outstanding first AS results: Almost 25% of all AS grades achieved were A grades Almost 20% of students achieved three or more A grades Almost half of students achieved at least one A or B grade Excellent Results
During timetabled enrichment, there are no subject lessons There is a programme of events, activities and talks Some weeks you can choose sport, art, or music You will get the opportunity to compete against other schools Some weeks there will be visits to universities or companies Some weeks there will be activities put on by external organisations at school All of these are designed to support progression Our Enrichment Programme

Tailored Support for Progression
The Rothschild Bursary offers Bow (and only Bow) students 5000 per year towards living costs, for each year at university if: the student attends a top university the university is outside of London Students apply in January once they have applied to university. Applications are judged by a panel later in the year The Rothschild Bursary
Funding from Rothschild and ADMI allows students to visit university open days, as far away as Durham, free of charge The highly trained team advise on each step of the application process, for university or for alternative routes such as apprenticeships Supporting Progression
Sixth form students also participate in drop days (and house challenges), with activities including: Developing health awareness Volunteering to add to your CV Team building opportunities Support with progression and apprenticeship opportunities Drop Days
