Junior Age Information Minimum age is 12 for individual* students (June-Aug) The minimum age for individual * students to study at ETC International College is 16 years old between September and May. *not including students attending ETC as part of a group or with their parents. Students aged 12-15 Next of kin details must be received for all junior students prior to document issue. Signed parental permission forms (signed by the parent) must be received for all junior students prior to document issue. Must book a Junior Programme. The maximum duration a student aged 15 and under may stay in an ETC Homestay is 26 nights (unless a suitable foster family can be found). Insurance Insurance is NOT included or provided by ETC. Please ensure you have correct insurance before travelling. Start Dates Our Junior Programmes have start dates every 2 weeks from 3rd June 2019. When ETC is closed due to a Bank Holiday, a Full Day Excursion will be provided for all junior students. (per week) 20 General English Lessons Each lesson is 45 minutes Students booking the Junior Residential Programme will be placed in one of our 3 residences (depending on availability) within walking distance of ETC. With CCTV and staff available on-site 24/7, students are safe and secure in our residential accommodation. Students are escorted to and from school by a member of ETC staff. Junior Residences Junior students choosing the residence package will be placed in any of our residences, depending on availability. All rooms are shared with 1, 2 or 3 other people and include breakfast and dinner. Lunch will be provided at ETC. These residences are only suitable for groups and individual junior students following the residential programme. Included in all Junior Residences: All accommodation is available either Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday Full Board (Lunch Monday - Friday in the ETC Cafe) Free Wi-Fi TV & Games En-suite bathrooms in each room CCTV 24 Laundry One load done once per week ETC Staff on-site 24 hours Towels and linen are included Evening Activities Walking escort to and from school / bus pass For residences in walking distance to the school students will have an ETC member of staff escort them to school on foot each morning. Students may be placed in any of our junior residences, subject to availability. Please enquire for details and photos on each residence. Choose your Programme: Homestay Available: 2 nd June - 1 st September 2019 Start dates: every 2 weeks Minimum duration: 2 weeks Our Homestay Junior Programme provides shared-room accommodation in one of our local homestays. Transport between accommodation and school is included for all students following the Homestay Junior Programme. Students aged 13 and under will have door-to-door pick up. Students aged 14 and 15 will be provided with a bus pass. All our homestays are DBS checked and inspected regularly. Students will have a comfortable, clean room with one load of laundry included per week. Lunches are provided from Monday to Friday at the ETC café. All accommodation is available either Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday Please note that juniors aged 15 and below may only stay for a maximum of 26 nights. What s included? Budget Programme: aged 15 only Available: between 30th June - 11th August 2019 Minimum booking: 2 weeks Junior students aged 15 years old following our Junior Programmes can benefit from reduced price packages when they arrive and depart on selected Sundays in the peak season. When? Times: Every Sunday between 30 th June - 11 th August 2019 The airport transfer service will run every few hours for: Arrivals: between 10:00-19:00 (group minibus pick-up) Departures between 10:00-19:00 (group minibus drop-off) Includes 1/2 price airport transfers! Where? Activities With a programme packed full of activities and excursions, our students can make the most of their time in the UK. Social activities encourage our students to practise their English outside of the classroom. Excursions give them a chance to experience the UK and immerse themselves in culture. Parent and Child Programme Available to children aged 8-11 travelling with their parents where both children and parents wish to study. Parents take full responsibility for their children outside lesson times and agree to supervise their children whenever on ETC premises. By booking the Parent and Child Programme, parents understand that students aged 18+ will also be on-site. Available 23 rd June - 31 st August 2019 and upon request Parental Responsibilities: The ETC Parent and Child Programme is designed for parents and their children when the children are aged between 8-11. In order to participate in the programme, all parents must deliver their children to class and collect them after class has finished. ETC only takes responsibility for children aged 8-11 during lesson time. Parents understand the need to be with their children at all times. In order to be accepted on the Parent and Child Programme, parents must also take English classes which are arranged on the same timetable as their children. Accommodation: Parents and children wishing to take the Parent and Child Programme must book their own accommodation. ETC is able to recommend a number of accommodation providers in the area but accommodation bookings must be made directly with the provider, not via ETC. Tuition Only Families taking part in the Parent and Child Programme must source their accommodation privately. 15 hours of English tuition in adult classes for the parents. 15 hours of English tuition in classes for children aged 8-11. (Children s classes will be allocated according to age). 100 enrolment fee applies per person. Parents - 180 per week Parents must travel and study at the same time as their children. Children - 250 per week Children must travel and study at the same time as their parents. Includes level test, welcome tour of Bournemouth, 15 hours of English tuition a week and exit level certificate. Children must travel and study with their parents.
