Introduction Aims of the NQT Induction Programme To provide high quality CPD facilitated by outstanding practitioners, with the desire to improve the impact on student progress. To provide bespoke training opportunities tailored to the targets set by NQTs to develop their career successfully. Why George Spencer Academy Teaching School Alliance? George Spencer Academy has a long and successful track record as a centre of educational excellence and is a multi-academy trust with both primary and secondary schools within it. We are rated as Outstanding (OFSTED 2015). Why Study With US? We are one of the first 100 Teaching Schools created in England & Wales by the National College for Teaching and Leadership. This award encapsulates our credibility, commitment and capacity to develop outstanding teachers and leaders for the benefit of all the children we teach. Outstanding practitioners and leaders are at the heart of all our professional development programmes management, design and delivery. We work exceptionally closely with a range of partner schools, both Primary, Secondary and Special, across the East Midlands region, to develop the skills and competencies which underpin excellent classroom teaching. George Spencer Academy has been named by the Good Teacher Training Guide as one of the Top 10 teacher trainer providers in the country and the second best primary teacher trainer nationally. The report comes hot on the back of the academy s outstanding Ofsted in May 2015, which also praised the impact of the school s wider partnerships. We believe in the golden thread of CPD that ensures that at whatever career stage you are at we have something to offer you. Having had a successful training year we welcome our NQTs in line with our mantra- a year of training- a lifetime of opportunity Join us and you will realise how we deliver on our promise that you will acquire the knowledge, understanding and competence to succeed as a newly qualified teaching professional.
