IN 2015, ST. AUGUSTINE S *adopted three families/nine children for the Christmas ministry *distributed 250 balloons, dog/cat treats, food scoops, and other trinkets for 4th Friday and Citizens for Humane Action in Westerville *donated $714, 18 pounds of cat/dog food, and provided 10 hours of visiting for CHA Animal Shelter *handed out coolers and church invitations at Otterbein University s 1st Friday for students *provided 580 meals at Faith Mission *collected 11 pounds of tabs for Ronald McDonald House *sent birthday, anniversary, and sympathy cards to members, and welcome cards to visitors *taught 35 lessons in Godly Play to the children *sent 21 shoeboxes of Christmas toys to Operation Christmas Child *visited the elderly monthly at Worthington Christian Village *continued support of a young Kenyan seminarian with tuition *helped community members in need of immediate financial support through the pastor s discretionary fund *continued an anointing and prayer ministry on Sunday and during the week *subsidized counseling costs for 21 individuals in need, with an average of 25 sessions a month through Family Counseling Ministries (Fr. Ric) *donated professional and work clothing to the Urban League *hired Otterbein University student interns for Godly Play/childcare *began noonday Wednesday Eucharist *held morning prayer during Advent *collected change in mite boxes at Advent and Lent for the Anglican Development and Relief Fund *presented handcrafted Anglican beads to new members *started a men s group *added the viola, baby grand piano, and pipe organ as instruments of worship, and increased variety of vocal offerings *offered our first Advent Taize candlelight service to the church and community *provided the following for Fellowship Hour: 18 pounds of butter, 20 collective pounds of gained weight, 30 pounds of sugar, 110 thermoses of coffee used, 55 hours spent in fellowship, hundreds of hours in the kitchen, countless compliments given on homemade baked goods!
