Undergraduate Symposium on Pre-hospital, Emergency and Extreme Medicine 2017 (PEMS) The Pre-hospital and Emergency Medicine for Students (PEMS) Society, were delighted to welcome medical students from across the UK to Cardiff University to the Undergraduate Symposium on Prehospital, Emergency and Extreme Medicine 2017. This one-day conference included talks on unique aspects of pre-hospital and emergency medicine from International keynote speakers as well as practical workshops on a wide range of topics. Individual Comments The talks were fantastic. Really inspiring and enjoyable! AR Well organised, teaching was good. Workshops were interesting and outside the scope of the normal curriculum. The day was very interesting. Might have been a tad be too long. An incredible conference. Good and well pitched. Was all very interesting - shame couldn't see more of the workshops! Very good for people condisering emergency medicine as a career. LJ MW ZL RE GE YY Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. The talks were very interesting and the speakers were friendly and open to talking to us which was great!! As I am only in first year it was great to attend but the teaching sessions (especially paediatric emergencies) would have been more useful for older years but they still involved me and it was a good experience.
