Public Health Experience Courses Public Health Experience courses consist of four main courses that are usually offered in the fall and spring: the Practicum, the Research Project 1, Research Project 2 and the Culminating Experience. Students can register for the Practicum and Culminating Experience course with only one core and/or once concentration course(s) along with the seminar course, as long as the course(s) not yet taken does/(do) not consist of material needed to effectively undertake activities of the Practicum and the Culminating Experience. Students can register for the Research Project 1 upon completion of, or when simultaneously enrolled in PBHL 310, EPHD 300, and EPHD 310. Students can register for the Research Project 2 upon completion of PBHL 310, EPHD 300, and EPHD 310. In addition, students must gave completed or all but one of the concentration courses, not counting the seminar course, as long as the course not yet taken does not consist of material needed to effectively undertake the activities of the Research Project 1 and the Research Project 2. Page 6 of 6 IV. Elective Courses Elective courses are offered in all semesters including Fall, Spring, and Summer. Students may choose from a pre-approved list of electives. This list includes both courses offered by FHS and those offered by other faculties at AUB that are relevant to the program. The list is approved by departments, and subsequently the Graduate Studies Committee (GSC). The list is made available on the FHS website. If students wish to take a course as an elective that is not within the list they can do so by petitioning the GSC, with a justification of how the course fits their scholarly and/or career objectives.
