ST. ANDREW S SCHOOL AND EQUIPMENT LISTS Official school outfitters Our school uniform and games kit are specifically designed for St. Andrew s pupils. The school uniform is purchased from (a school uniform supplier in Knaphill). Further information is available on www.st-andrews.woking.sch.uk (The School Uniform). Naming of uniform All uniform including footwear must be named and in good condition. Please name uniform clothing with sew-in name tapes. Any size or colour is permitted for name tapes used inside uniform. If at all possible, name tapes for Nursery children should avoid using all capital letters. The senior school games kit can be named with a laundry marker on the inside labels. Blazers should have a loop for hanging on pegs. Bags / equipment Book bags / net bags / swimming rucksacks are given out to new pupils (where appropriate) on the first day of term. Replacement bags that the school supplies should be ordered through the school office. No other bags are permitted for use by the senior school children as lockers are provided and prep is completed at school. Water bottles are available from the school office for the senior school children. Stationery Stationery is required for children in the senior school (Years 3-8): Pencil case, long 30cm ruler (not flexi ruler), HB pencils, pencil sharpener which holds shavings, colouring pencils, rubbers, glue stick and blunt ended scissors. Additional items: Year 5 and above only: Protractor, Compass, Oxford English mini-dictionary. Year 6 and above only: Highlighters, Calculator (Casio FX series), French dictionary. Year 7 and above only: Memory sticks. Cartridge pens (with blue ink) are only used once children have received their Pen Licence. A spare cartridge pen is also useful, particularly for exams. Pupils do not require friction pens, gel pens, ink erasers or tippex and these items are not to be brought into school. Please take care to name as much of your child s stationery as possible. All uniform, kit and equipment for the appropriate term is required in school from the first day of term. Hair All boys (Pre-Prep and senior school) to have their hair cut in a neat, short style suitable for a Prep school. All girls (Pre-Prep and senior school) to have their hair tied back neatly off their face and shoulders green hair accessories only to be used. Jewellery / watches No jewellery is to be worn unless permission is sought from the Headmaster. Watches are permitted for children in Year 6 and above.
