Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS in PETROLEUM GEOLOGY
CSPG GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP The Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists award three scholarships annually to promote advanced education and research in those fields of geology having application to the petroleum industry. One scholarship will be awarded in each of the three regions of Canada: Atlantic Provinces; Ontario/Quebec; and Western Canada. Each of the scholarships has a value of one thousand and five hundred dollars ($1500.00). Eligibility Criteria CSPG graduate scholarships are open to M.Sc. or Ph.D. students attending Canadian Universities progressing to their second or subsequent year(s) of study in petroleum geology-related disciplines. These disciplines include structural geology, sedimentology, stratigraphic studies involving clastic or carbonate rocks, paleontology and geochemistry. Candidates must hold Canadian Citizenship or Landed Immigrant status and be accepted into their second year as full-time graduate students at a Canadian University. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of academic standing.
