Make a splash this summer at Shipwrecked VBS where kids find that Jesus rescues them when life gets stormy. Shipwrecked VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experience kids see, hear, touch and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos, team-building games, cool Bible songs and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. Plus, we ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life. Come sail away with us at Shipwrecked Rescued by Jesus VBS. The best week of summer. Ages 3 5th Grade American Girls Camp July 30 August 3 Girls completed 1st 5th Grade 9:00 a.m. 12 noon $65 Come and be a part of a week filled with experiences from our past that continue to impact our present. Each day, we ll explore a different period in American history and discover the spirit that inspired girls to make a difference. Girls will identify traits that will challenge them in their own lives. 4th-8th Grade Seeds Camp Wapo July 27-29 Completed 2nd and 3rd Grade $165 This action packed weekend for our youngest campers begins with Friday registration at 3pm and concludes with worship at 12pm on Sunday. Knowing that this may be your child s first camp experience or even their first time away from home, our counselors will spend every moment with these campers. Kids will stay in a cabin with their friends, kids from your church, or other kids their own age. Each day campers will experience chapel, campfire, Bible study, cabin activities and other fun games. Youth Camp Camp Wapo Completed 4th-8th Grade $430 Come for a week filled with fun and faith activities that will impact our kids lives. Each day, kids will worship, be in God s Word, cabin activities, free time and games. It is an amazing and powerful week. 6th-8th Grade Youth Camp Ox Lake Completed 6th-8th Grade $430 $30 credit if registered before April 15 Like WAPO but different! Students will eat some great food and play together! Campers have the opportunity to canoe the St. Croix, go horseback riding, the low/high ropes course, play bubble soccer and play loads of games! Wilderness Canoe Base July 15-20 Open to students completing 6-8th grade (and a parent if interested) $500/pp Want to experience God s creation in the Boundary Waters but don t quite know where to start planning a trip? This is the experience for you! We will head up to Grand Marais, set up for the night at base camp where we will learn to paddle, portage and swamp a canoe. The next morning we will pack up all of our gear and head out into the wilderness! We will spend the next 5 days together, paddling, laughing, exploring and being together in God s word and creation. 9th-12th Grade Senior High Youth Camp Ox Lake/Camp Wapo Completed 9th-12th Grade $430 If you loved camp when you were younger, or never had the chance to go, come for a week filled with all the camp favorites and the benefits of BOTH Camp Wapo and Ox Lake. Campers will stay at Ox Lake (and enjoy some of the awesome food) and spend time at both sites growing in faith by getting a chance to dig deeper, and getting to know your peers. Servant Leadership Program Completed 11th & 12th Grade $450 This opportunity is limited to just 7 participants and is a great chance to grow both in your faith and your leadership skills by working with younger campers. SLP participants will stay in Wapo youth cabins, training to assist Wapo counselors while also being challenged and coached by a SLP counselor. This experience is perfect for someone who enjoys working with younger kids, is looking for a challenge, and feels comfortable at camp. Applications and references are due to camp by April 15. June 24-July 2 We re headed to Houston this summer to take part in the ELCA Youth Gathering that happens once every three years. During the week our group will spend time hearing from influential speakers, worshiping together, serving and walking with the community of Houston, and learning from and about organizations around the world that are working to care for and help others grow in faith. We ll spend our week connecting the dots as we share our stories and hear the stories of others, and in our free time we ll see some of the local sites. Please join us in prayer as we are preparing, traveling, and returning this summer, and watch our social media pages for highlights from the trip! Valleyfair August 17 Completed 8th-12th Grade Est. $30 Join us on Friday, August 17 for a day at Valleyfair! Bring your friends and make new ones while we spin, fly, and get soaked for the day. Estimated cost is $30 per person, plus spending money for food, games, etc. Adult leaders will be needed to join us as we build relationships and have fun! Volunteer/Leadership Opportunities Parent Volunteer Opportunities There are many ways that parents can lend a hand for VBS and American Girls Camp. Parents will be able to choose a volunteer opportunity when they register their child/ren for camp(s). Parents who choose to be VBS station leader receive 1 free VBS registration for volunteering. Student Leadership Opportunities Student leaders are a vital asset to the success of our summer camps. As a leader, you will share God s love with younger children, help them engage in fun activities and foster faith development. Ways to volunteer for Shipwrecked VBS and/or American Girls Camp: Be a crew leader (every day commitment) (Completed 6th grade and up) Station Leader assistant Be an extra set of hands at Imagination Station (commit to as many days as you are able) Help create scenes (mid-march/early April) Help decorate rooms (June) Volunteer/Leadership Opportunities All student volunteers need to complete the Student Leadership form. New volunteers will also need to have an adult (not family or church staff) complete a recommendation on their behalf. Please be sure to include all the information on the form (including parent email). Indicate all the opportunities you would like to volunteer for (including fall Kids of the Kingdom). If you have a specific age group that you would prefer to work with, please indicate that on your form. Shipwrecked VBS is June 18-22. Morning session is 9:00 a.m. 12 noon. Afternoon session is 1:00 4:00 p.m. Volunteers are expected to arrive 30 minutes before the start of their session. Volunteers can sign up to work either morning or afternoon session or both. American Girls Camp is July 30 August 3 from 9:00 a.m. 12 noon. Volunteers are expected to arrive 30 minutes before the start of camp. 5th Grade Volunteers Completed 5th grade students interested in volunteering during VBS need to complete the Student Leadership application, have an adult (not family or church staff) complete a recommendation on their behalf and have a short interview with a Paula. Spots are filled as interviews are completed. Please note that not all 5th graders are quite ready to jump into volunteering. Waiting a year is ok too.

AGC Volunteer Celebration July 18 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Lunch provided This is for all AGC volunteers as we will walk through each day of camp. Medical/Photo Release Form All participants of summer activities need to have a completed Medical/ Photo Release form. Please complete and turn in within two weeks of registration. Registrations are not complete until the Medical/Photo Release form is turned in or sent electronically. Registration Information Registration for VBS and American Girls Camp Online registration for VBS and American Girls Camp will begin for King of Kings (includes RSG! and Kids of the Kingdom families) families at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 26. Community registration opens at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 5. Any community registrations received prior to that will be wait-listed until the community registration opens. To access our registration site, please go to our registration page on the King of Kings website: https://www.kingofkingswoodbury.org/registration/ Enter the number of children you want to register for a single camp in the quantity field. All summer camps and programs are based on the grade your child is currently enrolled in. If your child is a preschooler, please select preschool 3 years old or preschool 4 years old as their grade. Friend requests must be made at the time of registration. One friend request may be made per camp. Please make sure that friends are the same age/grade, as this is how we create groups for camps. If requests are not made at the time of registration, they cannot be guaranteed. Scholarships are available for most King of Kings Summer Programs; please contact Patty at 738-3110 for more information. Friends who do not attend King of Kings, Kids of the Kingdom or RSG! may register beginning at 12:00 noon on March 5. There is not a special code this year for registration. Any community registrations received prior to that will be wait-listed until the community registration opens. Registration for WAPO Camps To register, go to the Camp Wapo website: www.campwapo.org. If you do not have access to a computer, Patty Bishop or a Children, Student and Family Ministry Staff would be happy to assist you. Spots are available on a first-come, first served basis. We have a limited number of spots reserved for Seeds, Youth, Ox Youth and Senior High Youth campers from King of Kings. When our reserved spots are filled, we may not be able to add campers to our week. To make it possible for as many King of Kings campers to experience camp this summer, we ask that you would please invite only 1 friend to join you. We love having friends join us for camp, and after March 15 when registration opens to all, you can consider asking others as well!
