No more than 70 CME credits per calendar year (completed between 2006 and 2012) will be credited toward the Part II requirement. No more than 60 CME credits per calendar year (completed in or after 2013) will be credited toward the requirement. Complete a minimum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 credits from ABA-approved Patient Safety CME Activities. www.theaba.org American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery Complete 90 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits every five years. Over a five-year cycle, 50 of the 90 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits must include a Self-Assessment Activity. A minimum of 75 of the 150 CME Credits must be AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits. Complete a minimum of one Self-Assessment Activity every three years. This requirement can be met from the successful completion of a Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) activity or by completing at least 4 quarters of the Continuous Knowledge Self-Assessment (CKSA) in each 3-year period. Successful completion of a KSA earns 10 ABFM MOC Points and 8 AMA PRA Category CME Credits and the CKSA is worth 2.5 ABFM MOC Points per quarter. Both activities can be accessed through the ABFM Physician Portfolio. The Clinical Self-Assessment (CSA) is now optional. Successful completion of a CSA earns 5 ABFM MOC Points and 4 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits. CSA s are accessed through the ABFM Physician Portfolio. www.theabfm.org

American Board of Internal Medicine To meet MOC requirements. ABIM Board Certified physicians must earn 100 points every five years, 20 of which must be in Medical Knowledge. ABIM and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) are collaborating to support physicians who are engaged in lifelong learning by enabling them to earn MOC points for Continuing Medical Education (CME) that they are already doing. www.abim.org American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics Complete one online literature review module every three years, or three within a 10-year cycle. Complete one patient safety activity per 10-year cycle. Complete 250 AMA PRA Category 1 (or equivalent) CME credits throughout the 10-year cycle. At least 50% of the CME credits must be related to Medical Genetics and Genomics. www.abmg.org American Board of Neurological Surgery Type 1 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM in neurosurgery related activities. www.abns.org American Board of Nuclear Medicine Complete a minimum of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits annually, which includes a minimum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits relevant to Nuclear Medicine. Eight self-assessment credits must be part of the 17.5 CME credits related to Nuclear Medicine. Self- Assessment credits are awarded for both self-assessment modules (SAM s) and Self-Assessment CME activities. www.abnm.org American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Complete 30 practice-relevant journal articles and complete 4 post-assessment questions per journal article. Complete a minimum of 120 post-assessment questions annually. ABOG delivers the journal-based assignments during the first week of January, April and July annually. Achieve an 80% completion rate on the 120 post-assessment questions, (minimum) and submit by due date. Upon successful completion of the ABOG reading assignments and post-assessment questions diplomates will earn 25 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits from ACOG. www.abog.org American Board of Ophthalmology Complete an average of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits annually, including 8 Self-Assessment (SA) Credits. 80% of the total 250 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits (10-year cycle) must be relevant to Ophthalmology. www.abop.org

American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Complete 240 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits relevant to Orthopaedic Surgery every 10 years. 40 of the 240 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits must be Self-Assessment Examinations (SAE) or Self- Assessment Activities (SA). SAE are activities produced by organizations other than the ABOS, then approved for MOC credit by ABOS. SAE credit may be earned through: Scored and recorded examinations Portfolio Program PIMs Registries Physician Scorecards www.abos.org American Board of Otolaryngology Complete a minimum of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits annually. Complete one ABOto self-assessment module in a practice relevant area annually, and achieve a passing rate of 80% or higher. www.aboto.org American Board of Pathology Complete 70 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits per two-year cycle. 20 of the 70 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits must be achieved through Self-assessment Modules (SAMs). 80% of the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits requirement must be relevant to diplomates practice. An ACGME accredited or institutional accredited fellowship or enrollment in the Physician Scientist Research Pathway fulfills MOC Part II and MOC Part IV requirements for a 2 year period www.abpath.org American Board of Pediatrics Physicians are responsible for completing their requirements as stated in their online physician portfolio. Diplomates who have transitioned into the continuing, five-year, points-based program are required to earn a specific number of self-assessment points during their cycle. ABP has announced a collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). This collaboration is designed to expand the number and diversity of accredited CME activities which meet the ABP s MOC requirements for lifelong learning and self-assessment. www.abp.org American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Complete 300 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits every 10 years (MOC cycle). Complete 150 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits in years 1-5 and in years 6-10 of the MOC cycle. Complete 4 ABPMR-approved self-assessments during the 10-year MOC cycle. Complete 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits through ABPMR-approved self-assessment in years 1-5 and in years 6-10 of the MOC cycle. www.abog.org

American Board of Plastic Surgery Complete 150 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits submitted in years 3, 6, and 9 of the 10-year cycle: 60 Category 1 Credits (general). 50 Plastic Surgery CME Credits may be Category 1 or II. 20 Patient Safety CME Credits may be Category I or II. The remaining undefined credits may be Category 1 or II. www.theabpm.org American Board of Preventive Medicine Complete 250 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, including at least 100 ABPM-approved LL-SA credits, during each 10-year certification cycle. www.aboto.org American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Complete an average of 30 specialty or subspecialty AMA PRA Category 1 Credits annually (averaged over three years). Diplomates are required to participate in ABPN-approved broad-based self-assessment activities. An average of 8 AMA PRA Category Credits (annually), should involve self-assessment (averaged over three years) An institutional or ABPN-approved patient safety activity must be performed only once in a diplomate s career, either three years before or within the first three years of MOC participation. www.abpn.com American Board of Radiology Complete 75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits every three years. 25 of the 75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits must be Self-Assessment (SA) Credits. www.theabr.org American Board of Surgery Diplomates will report CME activities every 5 years.
