It is important to consult this information as there are relevant details pertaining to policy guidelines which explain what is expected of postgraduate students. 1. Admission requirements: An appropriate Bachelor s degree or its equivalent (NQF level 7) With a score of at least 60% in each of the majors, Applicants must have completed a Bachelors Undergraduate degree BEFE applying for the BA Honours Degree We do not provide Provisional Acceptance and therefore you should not apply until you have completed your Bachelor s degree or NQF Level 7 equivalent 2. An application fee is payable. When processing the payment, please make sure to use the word application and your name as the reference. Please attach a copy of the direct deposit or proof of payment to your application form. It is highly advisable that students register ahead of the lecture sessions, as important information is communicated through to the student email accounts as well as the Moodle learning platform. Laptops are necessary for this programme as they will be used for the duration of the block. BA Honours Lectures The 2018 Block Release lectures will begin when NMU lectures begin on Monday 5 February 2018 and run for 3 consecutive weeks. The provisional timetable for this programme is in the process of being confirmed. It is the responsibility of the student, should you be accepted, to request the most up-to-date timetable from the department ahead of the block sessions. The Block release lectures begin at the beginning of each NMU Semester
1 st Semester usually begins in the first week of Feburary and runs for 3 weeks 2 nd Semester usually begins in the middle of July and also runs for 3 weeks Following each block release, exam sessions will run during the regular University timetable, with exams in June for first semester modules, and November for the second semester modules. Students are required to attend all contact sessions for the modules that they are registered for, both full time and part time students. The Block Release lectures are 100% COMPULSY and you cannot register for a module unless you attend the full week of lectures for each of the modules offered. Important notice: The lecture timetables are provisional and thus subject to changes. Students should request an updated version of the timetable towards the start of the respective semester block.
