Method of Evaluation: 100 pts Online Homework (Homework Avg) There will be online homework assignments through WebAssign (www.webassign.net). Each section will have its own homework assignment, thus allowing for flexibility in the lecture. Each section s homework will be due the following class time that it is covered for full credit. Homework is still due, even if you are not present for class. Partial credit for homework submitted after the due date will be assessed with a late charge of 10% per extension (up to 2 extensions; each extension is for 2 days). Class Key: collin 2591 6111 100 pts Quizzes (Each quiz will be worth 10 points.) Quizzes that are done in class will be timed. Some quizzes may be take home and must be returned at the beginning of the next class period. Quizzes must be done in pencil. You must be present to receive and turn in a quiz. In-class quizzes will not be handed out more than 10 minutes after the start of class. Quizzes cannot be made up for credit. 300 pts Tests (Each test will be worth 75 points.) Tests are timed and you will be asked to turn in what you have completed when time is called. You may start a test late, but you will still be required to turn it in when time is called. Tests must be done in pencil! Your calculators will be cleared as you begin the test. Any programs and apps in your calculator will be lost. Calculators may also be checked out at the library for 4-hour intervals, but there is a limited number of these available. Tests will have TWO parts: a calculator part and a non-calculator part. Tests will not be given after the specified test dates/times. 100 pts Comprehensive Final Exam The final exam is comprehensive and is required for all students. Failure to take the final exam will result in an F in the course. The final semester grade is based on the following: Percentage Grade 90-100 A 80 89 B 70 79 C 60 69 D Below 59 F Makeup Policy: There will be no makeup work given. Your lowest quiz grade will be dropped and your final exam grade will replace your lowest test grade, if it is higher. This will cover any unforeseen absence.
