Download Additional Teacher Resources In addition to your print Teacher Edition and Show Me Cards, in preparation to teach Math Navigator, download the Teacher Resources and Assessment Resources for your module: Visit Math Navigator s MyPearson Training page http://mytrainingconnection.com/products/math-navigator-2012-cc/tutorials Scroll down to the Other Resources section Download and print the Teacher Resources for your module (parent letter, Workspace blackline masters, misconceptions, class profile and other helpful resources) Download and print the Assessment Resources for your module (directions for administering pre-test/post-test*/checkpoints, checkpoint assessment, checkpoint answer sheet and checkpoint answer key) are *Pre and Post Test assessments answer sheets and answer keys found on ARO, please see slide 6-8 for directions

For access to ARO 1) Type aro.pearsoncmg.com in your browser 2) Enter your username 3) Enter your password 4) Select Academic Year 2015-2016 5) Click Login

To Print Pre and Post Tests

Print the Pre-Test 1) Click the Print Test button in the top bar 1) Click the Math Navigator Common Core link 2) Select the Pre-Test of your module and then click Download 3) Print the Pre-Test 4) Make a copy for each student Note: You have the option of downloading the test only or the test with answer key

Print the Post-Test 1) Click the Print Test button in the top bar 1) Click the Math Navigator Common Core link 2) Select the Post-Test of your module and then click Download 3) Print the Post-Test 4) Make a copy for each student Note: You have the option of downloading the test only or the test with answer key

To Utilize ARO Reports

Create Your Class and Students

Create your class 1) Click the + button next to NYC Schools 2) Click your school name 3) Click the Create Class tab 4) Create your Class Name (eg: Smith Grade 4 Summer School ) 5) Select your name from the drop-down menu 6) Select 2015-2016 as your Academic Year 7) Click the Add button NYC Schools Your School

Create your student accounts 1) Click the Add Student tab

Create your student accounts (cont d) 2) Enter a student s ID followed by ny and click Search

Create your student accounts (cont d) 3) Enter the student s first name, last name, and select grade level from drop-down (email and AYP categories can be left blank) 4) Click Add

Create your student accounts (cont d) 5) You will see the message student added 6) Click on your class name above the black bar (see Jane Doe Class below) to return and add another student

Create your student accounts (cont d) 7) Repeat steps 1-5 until all your students have been added to your class 8) After your last student has been added, click on your class name above the black bar to return to your class home page

Pre-Test

Associate students to module pre-test 1) Click the Manage button on the top bar 1) Click the + button next to Math Navigator Common Core 2) Click the Associate Students to Test link 1) Select your module pre-test and click Next

Associate students to module pre-test (cont d) 5) Select the students who will take the pre-test and enter the pre-test administration dates in the Start and End box 6) Click Add

Enter Student Answers to Pre-Test (after students have completed Pre-Test) 1) Log into ARO and click on your class 2) Click the Manage button on the top bar 3) Click the + button next to Math Navigator Common Core 4) Click the Enter Student Test Data link 5) Select your module pre-test from the drop down menu and click Next 6) Select the students who have completed the pre- test and click Next 7) Enter student test data and click Submit & Preview 8) Click Submit Final

Evaluate Pre-Test Results: Roster Report After all tests have been completed or test scores have been entered run a Roster Report 1) Click Reports on the top bar 1) Click the + button next to Math Navigator Common Core Reports 1) Click Roster Reports 1) Click Display This Reports For All Students for the module pre-test you administered

Evaluate Pre-Test Results: Roster Repot (cont d) 5) Select HTML (the default format) 6) Click the + next to your pre-test to display the report data

Checkpoints

Administer Checkpoints (See Teacher Guide for when to administer checkpoints for each module). Note: You may skip this step if you previously downloaded the Checkpoint and Assessment Resources from MyPearsonTraining 1) Click Print Test on the top menu bar 2) Click the Math Navigator Common Core link 3) Select the Checkpoints and Assessment Resources for your module 4) Click Download 5) Make copies for students

Score Checkpoints After students have completed their checkpoint assessments use the answer key to calculate the number of items correct 1) Log into ARO and click on your class 2) Click Manage on the top menu bar 3) Click the + button next to Math Navigator Common Core 4) Click the Update Checkpoint Scores link 5) Select your module from the drop-down menu and click Next 6) Enter the number of items correct on the checkpoint for each student and click Update

Evaluate Checkpoint Data After you have entered the students checkpoint data run a Checkpoint Report 1) Click Reports on the top menu bar 2) Click the + button next to Math Navigator Common Core Reports 3) Click the Checkpoint Report link 4) Click Display This Report for All Students 5) Select the file format: HTML for on-screen display, PDF or XLS for downloadable files 6) Click Submit

Post-Test

Associate students to module Post-test 1) Log into ARO and click on your class 2) Click the Manage button on the top bar 1) Click the + button next to Math Navigator Common Core 2) Click the Associate Students to Test link 1) Select your module post-test and click Next
