Admission procedure International Relations RILM (8782) (Class of Second Cycle Degree: LM 52) academic year 2016/17 The second cycle degree in International Relations is an open access degree; therefore, there are no limitations with respect to the number of admitted students, except for non-eu citizens. 1. All candidates will be assessed equally in relation to the academic requirements specified in this Call for Applications. The programme has three curricula: Relazioni Internazionali (taught in Italian) 2, European Affairs (entirely taught in English) and International Affairs (entirely taught in English). All applications will be considered on their merits. The minimum entry requirements are: - possession of a first cycle degree (bachelor's degree); - proficiency in English language; - adequate academic and personal skills. 1 The maximum number of available places for non-eu foreign students residing abroad for the academic year 2016/17 is 20 (5 for Chinese citizens as part of the Marco Polo Project, 15 for all other non- EU citizens). In addition to applying for admission to International Relations programme, non-eu citizens residing abroad shall also comply with the terms and procedures to enroll in Italian Universities, which are annually established by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) available at http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/. In particular, the applicants are required to promptly contact the Italian Embassy-Consulate in their country of residence for information on the procedures and deadlines for submitting the compulsory PRE-ENROLMENT APPLICATION and, upon completion of the preenrollment process, for obtaining a valid Italian visa for study reasons. For more information in English please visit the following website: http://www.unibo.it/en/international/index.html 2 Foreign applicants willing to enroll in the Relazioni Internazionali curriculum should have good knowledge of Italian language. This requirement will be verified through an Italian language test scheduled at the beginning of September (date and place will be announced on both the School of Political Sciences and the degree programme websites). If candidates fail or miss the Italian language test, they can only enroll in the European Affairs and International Affairs curricula (both entirely taught in English).

Candidates may submit their application even if they have not graduated yet. Admitted candidates with pending qualifications can enroll according to the procedures and deadlines mentioned on the International Relations (Relazioni Internazionali) RILM website, provided that the entry qualification is obtained by the 29th of December 2016. Failure to graduate by this deadline shall result in losing the right to enroll in this programme. 1) POSSESSION OF A FIRST CYCLE DEGREE (BACHELOR'S DEGREE) For admission to the International Relations second cycle degree programme it is necessary to hold a first cycle degree (bachelor's degree; academic qualification) from an Italian university or an equivalent first cycle degree from a non-italian University which grants access to a second cycle degree in the issuing country. If by the deadline for application the candidate has not graduated, he/she may apply for the assessment as a graduand.
