About the Seminar Leaders become great not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others. John Maxwell Leadership is based on inspiration, not domination; on cooperation; but not on intimidation. In business leadership is vital for success. Every individual has the capacity to lead, inspire and set an example for others if they know how to harness their innate qualities. A good leader makes the difference between the success and the failure of an enterprise. One often has the misconception that being a leader means being the person with the highest position or the most authority or the most power in the room, but this is far from the truth. Leadership comes not as a result of where one is but from how one is. A charismatic, determined person can be a leader regardless of their position or power. Keeping this in mind the seminar seeks to focus on the following: Objectives To elucidate on the various characteristics of a good leader. To become familiar with the tools for effective problem solving and decision making in a diverse environment. To understand the importance of continuous learning and leadership development. To develop practical application leadership techniques. BBA Department 31 st January 2017
