CHESHIRE COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE JUNE 2015 June Newsletter Message from the Chair Dear CCRC Friends, What a fun time it is to be in NH! I ve lived in several other states, and the opportunity here in NH to meet and talk to Presidential Candidates is not like any other. Maybe I should clarify: it s a great opportunity to meet REPUBLICAN candidates. I m so impressed with the way our candidates are so accessible, take unscreened questions, speak from the heart (without needing a teleprompter), and unafraid to talk about difficult issues. While it s a lot of fun, we have some serious business at hand. We must come together and try new approaches to elect more Republicans. On the local level, we need to hold the House and Senate, and get a conservative in the Governor s office! Democrats are trying to spend us into a state income tax, blocking efforts to restore NH as a magnet for growth and business. Look at what s happening in Connecticut. The income tax they started 20 years ago added to high taxes is taking its toll, and driving out businesses. NH should be a place to go, but we need pro-growth Republicans to make it happen. On the national level, not only do we have the big issues like immigration, foreign policy, and repealing the Obamacare nightmare, but the next President will decide on a generation of judges hundreds of judges from the Supreme Court on down. Do we want more overstepping by Executive Order, more of a progressive agenda impacting our schools, our environment, and our freedoms? So much is on the line, we must come together, work together to get out our message, and get out the vote! Let s have some fun, but get the job done!
