Total Number of Seats 5-Years Intergraded BBA-LLB (Hons) - 60. 5-Years Intergraded BA-LLB (Hons) - 60. The seats include SC/ST, General and category and 2 seats for students belonging to state of J&K. Up to 15% NRI category seats are included in the total seats. 1
2. A candidate with 10+2 or equivalent level qualification in any stream can apply. In addition, the candidate should appear/have appeared in and qualify/qualified in CLAT- 2018/ LSAT (India) -2018 examination. 3. CLAT/LSAT (India) examination is not mandatory for candidates applying under NRI/ International Category students (as defined below). For such candidates in addition to marks in 10+2/equivalent examination, valid SAT scores are mandatory to be considered, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria. 4. Merely filling an application form does not entitle a candidate for admission. The admission is purely merit based. The University reserves the right to cancel/revoke its offer and/or acceptance of provisional admission at any point in time 5. No refund of application fee is allowed under any circumstances whatsoever. 6. Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available. University Admission Committee shall decide the cut offs for merit, in various categories and same shall be final. 7. Candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria as laid down in succeeding paragraphs, if he/she wishes to be considered for admission. 8. Non- submission of CLAT-2018/ LSAT (India) -2018 or SAT Score and 10+2 /equivalent examination marks, to the University, before last date of application shall debar a candidate from being considered for merit. 9. All candidates shall be communicated guidelines, results other details including offer letters through e-mail. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white-list the following email id : admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail IDs of the University, for all communications related to admissions. 10. Merit Scholarships are available in both programs, details of which shall be provided in admission offer letters. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 1. The candidate must obtain minimum of 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline and qualify in CLAT-2018 / LSAT (India) - 2018 or SAT. 2. Criteria of Number of subjects in 10+2 Exams. 10+2 or its equivalent examination must be passed with minimum 5 subjects. Candidates with 4 subjects in 10+2 class are not eligible. 3. Criteria of minimum Educational Qualification and Year of Passing. (d) English shall be compulsory subject in 10+2 qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 examination in 2018 must produce the original copies of results latest by 14 Aug 2018. Candidates who are offered provisional admission based on declared scores in the application, will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authorities, during document inspection at the time of registration (3rd week of July), failing which, such provisional admission will stand withdrawn. If the results of 10+2 examinations are likely to be delayed beyond the date of registration (3rd week of July), such candidates are advised to seek admission next year. No representations for extension of dates for verification of documents shall be entertained. 2
(e) Any wrong declaration of marks /Scores, which affects the merit/provide undue advantage, shall lead to disqualification of the candidate and withdrawal of admission. 4. Eligibility conditions for IB/Cambridge qualified Candidates. (All candidates shall be required to obtain the 10+2 equivalence certificate from AIU before 14 Aug 2018). Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of admission. For IB Board (i) Student should have secured a minimum of 26 points/credits. (ii) Student should have passed minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). (iii) English shall be a compulsory subject. For Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE) (i) Percentage Uniform Marks shall be similar to 10+2 conditions of CBSE, i.e 60% aggregate marks. (ii) Should have passed minimum 5 subjects at O level including English, and minimum 2 subjects at A level. These are mandatory to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU. 5. Eligibility conditions to be eligible for NRI/International Students NRI/PIO/OCI (i) PIO (Person of Indian Origin). A person who or whose any of ancestors were Indian national and who is presently holding another country s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he/she is holding foreign passport. (ii) OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). A person registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder under section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955. (iii) NRI shall be a student, whose mother or father, first degree relation including the real brother and sister or grandparents both paternal and maternal are NRIs. (iv) This quota may also be availed by wards of NRI persons, who should be the nearest relation to include real brother and sister of father and mother i.e. real uncle and real aunt, first degree-paternal and maternal cousins. However, such persons, who have looked after such student as the guardian, need to produce an evidence to the effect, along with an affidavit signed by authorities in country where such person is residing. (v) NRI, in this context shall imply an Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/carrying on business or vocation outside India or stays abroad under circumstances indicating an intention for an uncertain duration of stay abroad. International Student All students who are foreign country pass port holders and have passed their 10+2 exams from a foreign board. 6. Routes to Admission: Candidates who fulfill the eligibility as above, shall be required to have one of the following routes for admissions, which are explained subsequently, in the document CLAT-2018/LSAT (India) -2018 Score merit SAT Exams Score merit for NRI/International Students 3
7. General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of registration (3 rd week of July 2018) for the respective program failing which, they will be disqualified and provisional admission shall be cancelled. Admission granted to student may be revoked for noncompliance/not meeting the admission criteria/ being found ineligible, even if same is detected at a later date. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final. APPLICATION PROCESS 8. How to obtain and Fill the Application Form: The students may obtain and fill the application forms in any of the following ways. Obtain application form and brochure from the University office by cash payment of Rs.1000/-or sending a bank draft of Rs. 1000/- favoring Bennett University, payable at Noida/Greater Noida. Fill the application form and affix a recent colored photograph at appropriate place. Post the application on the below mentioned address. Apply on line using net banking/credit/debit card at https://www.bennett.edu.in/admission/programs/b-tech/. There is a separate on-line application form available for the NRI/International student s, which must be filled and accompanied by a sponsor letter (Format attached). The form can be accessed through University web site - https://www.bennett.edu.in/admission/programs/bba-llb/. Follow the guidelines thereafter. 9. Cost of Form: Rs 1000/- 10. Where to send. The completed Application Form, (only when hard copy purchased), must be sent to the following address: Admission Section Bennett University Office, Plot No s 8-11, Tech Zone II, Near Dabra Village. Greater Noida- 201310, Uttar Pradesh, India. 11. Important to note before submission of Application Form. Candidates who procure the brochure and application form after payment of Rs 1000/-, are not required to make any further payment, while submitting the application form. (d) Knowing the Application Status: Those candidates who apply online shall receive a unique application No and an e-mail acknowledging the receipt. For those applying through hard copy, will receive an email with registration details, when the form is uploaded on the ERP system. The candidates are required to view the web site frequently, for the latest information and also required to take the necessary action as per the information hosted on the website from time to time Candidates are also advised to keep the original receipt of the Speed Post / Registered Post issued by the post office and the photocopy of the filled in Application Form. All issues regarding non- receipt of application form by the University, must be resolved by the candidate with admission section of the University, before declaration of merit. No appeals thereafter are acceptable. University shall not be responsible for non- receipt of application at the admission office. 4
(e) Photocopies of 10th, 12th standard mark sheets, along with CLAT or LSAT or SAT score card, (if results have been announced) must be uploaded on the online form or sent along with the application forms. PROCESS FOR ADMISSION: 12. Submission of application/registration of candidature. Registration of candidature implies filling online application or sending the hard copy of purchased application form and providing the marks/scores as required : The candidate may fill the application form without waiting for the results of CLAT- 2018/LSAT (India)-2018 or SAT Result and 10+2 /equivalent Examination. IB/IGCSE students, who fulfill the required eligibility criteria, may also fill the form of the University, based on predicted scores (provided by counselor only, directly to University at email ID admissions@bennett.edu.in referring to program and application number). (d) It is essential for the candidate to provide the marks of CLAT or LSAT or SAT score card and 10+2 or equivalent examination to the University immediately, after declaration of results. The marks may be (i) filled online or (ii) candidate may provide score cards to the admission office before the date mentioned in table below. Non- Compliance shall be at candidate s risk and no claim can be made for consideration for merit. (e) Further, the candidate has to produce the score card of CLAT-2018/LSAT (India)-2018 or valid SAT Score Card and mark sheet of 10+2 or equivalent exam at the time of document verification during registration process (July 2018). MERIT LIST AND ADMISSION OFFERS/ALLOCATION OF SEATS: 13. Eligibility for Merit - Candidates shall be considered for meriting process, only after they meet all of the following criteria: Those who apply in the prescribed application form / apply online. Those whose applications are found valid. The applications are received before the due date. (d) Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria. (e) Where the applicants provide the required scores before the last date of application. 14. Drawing the Merit Lists and Admission Offers (General Category) The merit amongst valid applications received shall be drawn based on the score of the candidate in CLAT-2018/LSAT (India)-2018 examination. CLAT/LSAT Scores in any category (like SC/ST) shall not be taken into consideration. The merit list for SC/ST candidates and those belonging to the state of J&K (2 seats are reserved for Kashmiri migrants) subject to eligibility, shall be made by applying the cut off 10% below the merited marks in CLAT/LSAT examination obtained by the candidate, short listed in the unreserved category. More than one list may be announced, as required as per schedule in table below. (d) Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available, in case he/she does not meet the minimum cut off marks decided by the University Admission Committee for this category of seats. 5
15. Drawing the Merit Lists and Admission Offers (NRI/ International Student Category) Candidates wishing to take admission under this category must meet the definition as given Para 6 (Eligibility Criteria) above. The merit shall be drawn based on 10+2 marks percentage, which shall be duly normalized amongst various school boards/sat scores, 16. Official Communication of Merit and Information about Seat Allotment and Fee payment All candidates shall be communicated guidelines, results other details including offer letters through e-mail. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white-list the email id : admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail IDs of the University for all communications It is responsibility of the candidate to monitor the mails for the admission offers, as per general schedule /important dates announced, to know about their admission offers, fee payment schedule and guidelines and instructions etc. Ignorance of schedule or not checking the details in time shall not be accepted as an excuse to attend or claim for admission at a later date. + The fees does not include any charges for additional certifications, modules, immersions, trainings, industrial visits etc. which shall be charged to students as and when such activities are planned. The fee structure may be revised by the management from time to time. ## The NRI fee shall be required to be transferred from the foreign or NRE account of NRI sponsor or Foreign national. The remittance instructions shall be issued along with admission offer letters. (Student admitted under this category cannot be converted to general category in subsequent years Note: Ragging is banned in the University.
