All India PG (NEET - 2018) qualified candidates are invited for registration for common counselling & admission into Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences. On behalf of State of Uttarakhand, the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun shall be conducting common counseling for admission into Post Graduate Medical (MD/MS/Diploma) courses for academic session 2018-19 based on the merit of NEET (PG) 2018. For registration process and other related details for common counseling, kindly visit the site www.hnbumu.ac.in The admission to all Post Graduate Medical (MD/MS/Diploma) courses conducted at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, a constituent college of the University, shall only be made as per the provisions of Section 33 of the Swami Rama Himalayan University Act. For details of seats for admission into Post Graduate Medical (MD/MS/Diploma) courses under Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences for academic session 2018-19, kindly refer to Annexure 1. Tuition fee shall be charged in accordance with the orders dated 11 th January, 2018 and 4 th April, 2018 modified by order dated 6 th April, 2018 recorded by the Hon ble High Court of Uttarakhand in Writ Petition No. 1705 of 2017 (Swami Rama Himalayan University vs. State of Uttarakhand & Ors.) and subject to the final outcome in the same. Fee structure of the University for Post Graduate Medical (MD/MS/Diploma) courses is available at Annexure 2. Candidates are required to serve the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences as Senior Residents for a minimum period of 01 (one) year after passing their MD/MS course. All admitted candidates shall have to furnish a service bond to this effect. The list of postgraduate (MD/MS) courses where service bond is applicable, is annexed herewith as Annexure 3. Note: 1. While reporting for admission, the candidate shall bring all the relevant certificates/documents IN ORIGINAL as per Annexure 4 along with 2 sets of self attested copies of the same. P a g e 1 6
2. Tuition fees can be deposited in three equal installments, i.e. one at the time of admission, second installment after four months and third installment after eight months of admission either by multi-city cheque of State Bank of India drawn in favour of Swami Rama Himalayan University or Bank Draft of any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Swami Rama Himalayan University, payable at Rishikesh/Dehradun. 3. As per the Judgement passed by the Hon ble Supreme Court of India, in the matter of Islamic Academy of Education and Another V/s State of Karnataka & Others (Writ Petition Civil No. 350 of 1993) in its judgement dated 14.08.2003, all candidates who obtain admission in the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences shall be required to submit at the time of joining a bank guarantee to the effect that he/she shall not withdraw his/her candidature after last date of admission; failing which he/she shall be required to pay to the University tuition fee for the entire duration of the course. 4. Stipend shall be paid as per the policy of the University. 5. The issue regarding NEET and Common Counselling are pending before the Hon ble Supreme Court in Writ Petitions and the final outcome shall be applicable as per the Hon ble Court s orders. 6.
