SITE Crystal Awards 2018 Categories and Weights Category: Best Destination-Based Experiential Incentive Travel Program 1. Destination Infrastructure - 20 points: World class incentive destinations have developed infrastructure in a way that supports a group travel experience. Provide a detailed explanation of the overall efficiencies and amenities available in the destination that help the decision of the client and program planners. Examples can include effective processes in coordinating visas, currency exchanges, airport arrival/departure, transportation, hotels, attractions, safety, health and other. 2. Destination Resources & Services - 20 points: Define how the destination was able to work together with local or non-local service providers that resulted in a successfully executed program. Describe efforts from organizations like the CVB, tourist board, DMCs, etc. to support planners to develop and deliver a seamless experience. If applicable, include details on efforts to educate planners on the destination such as marketing campaigns, FAM trips, hosted buyer programs, etc... Include data on market growth, future bookings, branding (or re-branding) initiatives, education and familiarization programs, etc. 3. Engaging Activities & Experiences - 20 points: Describe how the destination's unique attributes such as culture, landmarks, history, entertainment, gastronomy etc. can create engaging activities and incentive experiences. Describe how experiences in this destination are different or superior from other competing markets. Describe new improvements, new venues and any other elements relevant to the destination that create a conducive environment for a true incentive experience. 4. Creativity - 20 points: Describe all creative aspects that made this a successful and effective program. Did the destination plan something customized, and how did that provide a relevant and long-lasting experience for the attendees? How did the activities fit with the identity of the destination, and did it align with the identity of the client and the program s goals? 5. Program ROI: Effectiveness/Results - 20 points: Tell us what the program accomplished values of the organizing company?

Cost Management/Budget Maximization - 20 points: All entries will be evaluated on how the budget/resources were maximized to provide an excellent event experience. Provide any special considerations given to how the budget funds were allocated or how special challenges were solved. Explain how you used creative ways and/or your industry experience and relationships to achieve an outstanding experience while managing costs. 3. Creativity - 25 points: Describe all creative and original aspects that made this a successful and effective program. How did you provide a relevant and long-lasting experience for the attendees? How did the experiences align with the identity of the client and the program s goals? Did you plan and execute something customized? Comment on how program components directly matched the demographics of the participants. Include new event ideas/activities. What did this program do that had not been done before? Was technology incorporated in a unique way? Were participant s transferred via unusual methods? Was a teambuilding activity developed that had never been executed before? 4. Participant Engagement and Communications - 35 points: Describe the communications strategy utilized during the program launch, qualification period, winners announcement and on-site experience. Describe the program theme, unique messaging points and technology used. Include any innovative ideas used to promote and increase participant engagement; were there any new ideas to help reach the client's goals that included the involvement of co-workers, family, etc.? Use specific metrics to show success in this area, what was the number of people engaged, what were the number of campaign impressions, what is the campaign legacy, etc.? 3. Creativity - 20 points: Describe all creative and original aspects used in the execution of the program that made it successful and effective. How did the experiences align with the identity of the client and the program s goals? Did you plan and execute something customized? Comment on how program components directly matched the demographics of the participants. What did this program do that had not been done before? For example, were participant s transferred via unusual methods? Was a teambuilding activity developed that had never been executed before?

CSR Practices OR Sustainability Practices - 40 points - Only answer for the subcategory that you are applying for. For CSR Practices: Provide specific examples of how this program successfully delivered principles of Corporate Social Responsibility throughout the experience. Was this approached as a CSR event at the request of the client or was this proposed by the planning company? Describe how the program: Achieved strategic goals that serve the economic, environmental and social interests of all stakeholders Integrated a CSR 'mind-set' into its management, operations and reporting Positively impacted the local and global society through diversity and inclusivity

Promoted health and wellbeing, creativity and business effectiveness Left a legacy that will continue after the program has concluded For Environmental Sustainability Practices: Provide specific examples of how this program incorporated sustainable practices throughout the experience. In terms of environmental factors, explain any original, innovative and out of the box ideas that led to a reduced carbon footprint left by the event or reduced waste. Also describe any social, educational and economic sustainability practices that were embraced and resulting positive outcomes. Was this approached as an environmentally sustainable event at the request of the client or was this proposed by the planning company?
