Articulation Agreement between Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and College of Coastal Georgia This document establishes an articulation agreement between Wiregrass Georgia Technical College (WGTC) and the College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA) that outlines coursework from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College that may be applied to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Workforce Management and Leadership program offered by the College of Coastal Georgia. In entering into the agreement, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and the College of Coastal Georgia have several goals, which include: Assisting prospective transfer students at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College to progress toward their baccalaureate degree goals; Enabling Wiregrass Georgia Technical College students to follow a course of study that allows them to begin upper-level course work immediately upon transfer; Assuring Wiregrass Georgia Technical College students that if they follow the terms of this approved articulation agreement, they will be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Workforce Management and Leadership at the College of Coastal Georgia; Facilitating cooperation between counseling offices and transfer centers at their respective institutions. The College of Coastal Georgia in partnership with the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College has developed transfer procedures to implement this agreement. To assure that the articulation agreement remains current, the respective parties agree to consult regularly on issues of enrollment, articulation, and program changes. The goal of both Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and the College of Coastal Georgia is to minimize barriers to transfer and increase the number of students who successfully complete the baccalaureate degree. Justification: By completing the requirements for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Workforce Management and Leadership from the College of Coastal Georgia and the Associate of Applied Science at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, students will be more marketable and better prepared for a job in their field of study than those completing only an Associate s degree. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and the School of Business and Public Management at the College of Coastal Georgia are entering into this articulation agreement to allow students the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Workforce Management and Leadership in a timely manner by applying coursework taken at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.

Terms of Articulation: Any Wiregrass Georgia Technical College student who graduates with an Associate of Applied Science degree will be admitted into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Workforce Management and Leadership Program at College of Coast Georgia. The College of Coastal Georgia will accept 36 hours of technical/major course credit (18 hours for Area F and 18 hours for general electives) from A.A.S. degrees earned at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College as well as all general education courses completed by the student (15-16 general education hours are required for AAS degrees). Agreement on Communication WGTC and CCGA agree to cooperate in the publication and promotion of the articulation agreement between the two schools. Both parties will facilitate the dissemination of information about this program to interested and qualified students, with both institutions providing academic counseling and advisement. Agreement on Maintenance and Review At least one administrator or faculty member from each institution will be appointed to act as a primary point of contact and agent for the implementation of this agreement, to speak for the institutions, and to communicate details and modifications to respective faculty members, advisors, counselors, and others to whom the information is pertinent. Said administrators or faculty members shall review this agreement annually to determine if any revisions are needed. This agreement is open to all WGTC students regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, creed, national origin or disability. This agreement will be automatically renewed unless one of the parties notifies the other of its desire to terminate the agreement. Such notification must be in writing and submitted one year in advance with the effective date to coincide with the last day of the academic term under which it falls. Terms of this Agreement will be effective February 2017. Agreement on Accreditation This agreement is contingent upon the continuation of all appropriate program and institutional accreditations, including the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and those from professional bodies.

Coursework Summary between Wiregrass Georgia Technical College & College of Coastal Georgia For a BAS degree, College of Coastal Georgia requires a total of 120 credit hours, divided up as 42 credits of general education courses in Areas A-E, 18 credits in Area F, and 60 credits in the major. For an AAS degree, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College requires a total of 15 credits of general education courses, and Between 43-62 credits of career/technical courses (depending on the AAS degree). This articulation stipulates that students can transfer all general education courses (15 credits are required by WGTC) and up to 36 credits from career/technical courses, leaving up to 69 credits to be completed at CCGA for the BAS degree. Breakdown of credits towards a BAS degree: s Completed at WGTC with CCGA s Completed at CCGA Areas Total General Education Courses 15 A-E General Education Courses 27 42 Career/Technical Courses* 18 F Career/Technical Courses* 0 18 Career/Technical Courses* 18 Major Career/Technical Courses* 42 60 Courses 51 69 120 * Students may take more than 36 credits of career/technical courses at WGTC to be awarded an AAS degree, but only 36 credits can count toward completion of the BAS. To help students and advisors determine which WGTC courses will best satisfy degree requirements at the College of Coastal Georgia, please see the tables that follow. The first table is organized based on the WGTC program of study for an AAS degree whereas the second table is organized by the CCGA program of study for a BAS degree.

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Program of Study and the corresponding CCGA transfer equivalencies The table below provides the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College program of study and how courses would transfer to College of Coastal Georgia. We recommend students take all four of the blue-highlighted courses and one of the greenhighlighted courses for the general education requirements for the AAS degree at WGTC in order to satisfy BAS degree requirements at CCGA. However, any of the general education courses will transfer to CCGA (see the CCGA Program of Study provided in the next section). Note that courses where the CCGA Transfer course is listed as TELC are courses that do not correspond with a CCGA course, but are an accepted transfer course to satisfy the area specified.
