We pray for; Riyannah Alexander, Rimon Arob, Isabella Calcagno, Tanysha Callerame, Angelina Italia, Aleena Jimmy, Monica Masucci, Daniel Morris, Jonathan Musig, Shantel Perera, Briana Richards, Jaye Scapin, Benjamin Sciberras and Connor Wilson. Bishop Curtin will visit and meet the candidates this Thursday morning. Cross Country at Bundoora Park this Wednesday (tomorrow) at 9.30am We wish our Cross-Country representatives good luck and stamina as they undertake the most difficult of the sports this Wednesday. We have trained regularly and aim for all students to complete the run without having to walk along the way. Our 10 years of age students run 2km and 11 & 12 years of age run 3km. Active Travel: Walk to School Friday Our Active Travel Team will be visiting classrooms this week encouraging students to walk to school this Friday. Our Parents and Friends will also be selling Fruit Salad at Recess on Friday. Have fun kids, keep fit and safe!! St Gabriel s Primary School now has EFTPOS facilities available. We hope that this will provide parents with greater convenience and another option in paying school fees. The EFTPOS facility will be available for school fee payment only and not for other payments. eg:- uniform, fundraising events, sporting events etc. Families experiencing genuine financial hardship are asked to contact the school to discuss alternative payment arrangements. PARENTS AND FRIENDS NEWS: Friday 22 nd May Walk Safely to School Day and $2 fruit salad at recess! We are excited to announce that our school captains Ben, Zoe, Angelina, Samantha, Jaye and Briana, now have an additional role, they are the school s Active Travel Team for 2015! They will be organising lots of Active Travel Days throughout the year, and visiting classes to get their Hands Up Tally. There will be rewards for the most active class! Here s a message from the team: On Friday 22 nd May, we are participating in the Walk Safely to School Day. If you would like to go in the draw to WIN an ipad mini, log onto this website: www.walk.com.au. At recess we will be selling yummy fruit salad for $2 per serve. SNAIL TRAIL IS HERE FOR TERM 2! Only five weeks left before our silver coin snail trail competition. Please keep sending in your unwanted or unneeded silver coins to school. Has your class filled their box yet? Competition will take place on Friday 19 th June, between every class to make the longest snail trail of silver coins. The class with the longest snail trail will be rewarded with a special treat. Good luck! P&F COMMITTEE MEETING Next meeting will take place Wednesday 20 th May at 2pm. New volunteers always welcome. Are you interested?
