Lighthouse Home School Athletics (LHSA) Statement of Purpose Lighthouse Home School Athletics (LHSA) is a nonprofit, incorporated, Christian service organization that is established to provide homeschool students the opportunity to compete in competitive sports in a Christian atmosphere. LHSA, as an organization, and all of its activities, are committed to modeling and teaching Christian character traits, along with good sportsmanship. Statement of Faith We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit We believe that the Bible is God's written revelation to man and that it is verbally inspired, authoritative and without error. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our salvation, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory. We believe the person and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life. We believe that man was created in the image of God but because of sin, was alienated from God. That separation can be removed only by accepting through faith alone, God's gift of salvation which was made possible through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ NOTE: All Coaches are required to sign this statement indicating their agreement with it. Although players and parents are not required to sign the statement, we want all families to know that this is an important aspect of LHSA. Printed Name Date

Lighthouse Home School Athletics LHSA Volleyball The LHSA high school volleyball program strives to develop leadership and Christian character in our team members. Our coaches have a love for the game and are dedicated to teaching the skills needed for competitive play. The Lady Lions program is directed by Mrs. Lisa Cliett (lisacliett@gmail.com) QUALITY OF PLAY This is competitive volleyball, with high school substitution rules. Unlike Rec Programs, there is no guarantee of playing time or position. Playing time will be based on skill sets, hustle, ability, performance, not to mention attitude toward your teammates and others. LHSA will strive to provide as many training opportunities as possible. LHSA is NOT, however, a win at all cost organization. Our goal is to provide a program where talented athletes can grow physically and spiritually and where Jesus Christ is honored in all respects. SEASON Practices begin in July with local games typically scheduled August through October. LHSA schedules games against area Private, Christian, and Charter schools and one or two weekend tournaments. With this being our first year of playing we may not have many games and games may scheduled at last minute. Cost As of this moment our cost consist of a tournament fee and jersey top. We are working on keeping the cost at a minimum with the help of sponsors and fundraisers. Other costs may arise if we host a home game due to needing referees.
