Happy Spring! As you may have heard from the news, Saginaw Public Schools is in the process of finalizing an agreement that will keep Saginaw High and Loomis Academy open for the next three years. There will be a benchmark check in 18 months. Saginaw High School staff is ready to meet the challenge. We have written a new plan that will raise the level of student rigor at Saginaw High, and will mean greater success for our students. Please support us in these efforts. This month is Spring Testing for all 9 th, 10 th, and 11 th grade students (April 11, 12, 18,19). Juniors will take the SAT, Workkeys, and M-Step assessments. Ninth and tenth graders will take the PSAT test on April 12 th. The schedule for testing will be sent home to you by mail this year. Students will also receive a copy at school. Please make sure your student is at school, as we need 100% attendance on those days. Continuing the rich athletic history of Saginaw High, we offer opportunities for students to develop their talents. Congratulations to Coach Taylor and the Boys Basketball team who made it to the Quarter finals in the MHSAA Basketball Tournament. They did a great job, this season representing Saginaw High. Spring sports include: Boys Baseball, Girls Softball, Boys Track, Girls Track, Girls Tennis, and Girls Soccer. Please have your student see Ms. JC, if they are interested in participating. We are committed to providing a high quality education for our students. Each year, the school provides a School Improvement Plan to the Michigan Department of Education.
