The Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) Board requested juvenile crime data and a map showing juvenile crime and locations of CCPD-funded youth programs. Juveniles are individuals between ten (10) and sixteen (16) years of age. CCPD-funded youth programs are within the Partners with a Shared Mission funding category and include after school programs at Fort Worth ISD, Crowley ISD, Keller ISD, White Settlement ISD, two Safe Haven programs at Martin Boys and Girls Club and United Community Center, Late Night/FW@6, Comin Up Gang Intervention Program and Community-Based Programs. The overall purpose of these after school programs is to provide structured academic, cultural, and recreational activities during the peak hours of juvenile criminal activity in an effort to prevent crime and provide an alternative safe environment for atrisk youth. These programs intend to accomplish the CCPD goal to, Support efforts to increase the safety of youth and reduce juvenile crime through crime prevention and intervention programs. Below is a chart showing juvenile crime between 2009 and June 2015. Between 2009 and 2014, juvenile crime decreased 37 percent.
