Saint Susanna Catholic School Principal s Letter Grow with God September 4, 2018
Principal s Letter Dear St. Susanna Families, As I acclimate to the role of principal, the theme of community has been on my mind a great deal. What does it mean for us to be a Catholic school community? I think that at the heart, it means that we pray for, love and support each other through all of the seasons of life. Most recently, we had the opportunity to support Sister Merrita s family, who by extension is part of our own community, during the difficulties they face as a result of the devastating flooding. As a school community we raised over $1,800 to send to them in Kerala. Sister is grateful for the support and love during this time. Our next early dismissal of the year is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2018. The teachers will travel to Cardinal Ritter High School and meet with their grade level counterparts from the West Deanery to share best practices, lessons, and work on curriculum alignment to ensure our students are prepared for high school. We are also gearing up for a great year filled with many activities. Our first major event and fund-raiser is the Jamboree and the planning committee could use your help. All of our volunteer opportunities are listed at www.saintsusannaschool.com/volunteer. If you have not already signed up for a volunteer opportunity, please do so as soon as you can. Blessings, Janet Abdoulaye
