Support for all teams in the Lauries games would be appreciated, especially those teams in strong premiership contention: 2 nd, 9B, 7B basketball and 8A tennis. Another highlight of the week sees our Years 9/10 touch team compete at the National Schools Championship at the Sunshine Coast. Having qualified for this competition through the Qld All Schools performance last year, our team will play against 10 schools. Touch now joins volleyball, sailing and mountain biking as an Iona sport that competes at national schools level, providing that rare opportunity of elite and hard-edged sport. Thanks to the sailing parents who hosted an introduction to the season at RQYS last Friday. Term 4 sailing will prepare our crews for the 2019 season. * A reminder that basketball photos will be taken for our Years 10 Open teams this Saturday. * Catch up sports photos will be taken this Friday on the Years 5/6 handball courts for the following teams. Boys are required to wear their normal school grey uniform for these photos. 8.40am 8.45am Period 1 Period 2 Key Personnel for 2018, Term 3 Sport General Enquiries Years 7 12 General Enquiries Years 5 6 Years 5-6 Years 7-12 Mountain Biking - 9D - 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B - 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D Primary AFL Schools Cup AFL - 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B Cricket 5A, 5B, 5C, 5 Gold, 6A, 6B, 6C, 6 Gold Mr Keith Harron Mr Chris Pritchard Mr Chris Pritchard Mrs Karen Otway harronk@iona.qld.edu.au pritchardc@iona.qld.edu.au pritchardc@iona.qld.edu.au otwayk@iona.qld.edu.au Years 5-6 Years 7-12 High Performance /Rep Sport All Schools Touch Ms Elizabeth Adey Ms Rebecca Adamson Mr Rick Nalatu Mr Troy Condon Key Personnel for 2018, Term 4 Sport Sailing Track & Field Years 7-12 Track & Field Years 5-6 Waterpolo Date Claimers Mr Matt Pilecki Mr Sean Devlin Mr Peter Holmes Mr Keith Harron adeye@iona.qld.edu.au adamsonr@iona.qld.edu.au nalatur@iona.qld.edu.au condont@iona.qld.edu.au matthew.pilecki99@gmail.com devlins@iona.qld.edu.au holmesp@iona.qld.edu.au harronk@iona.qld.edu.au 12 14 Sept National Schools Cup Touch Fri 14 Sept AIC Years 5/6 vs St Laurence s (H) Fri 14 Sept Years 5 / 6 catch up sports photos Fri 14 Sept AIC Track and Field Meet @ SAF Sat 15 Sept AIC Years 7 12 vs St Laurence s (H) Sat 15 Sept Team Photos Years 10 12 Sat 15 Sept AIC vs St Laurence s (H) Mon 17 Sept U13 & U15 Touch trial game v Stretton College Wed 19 Sept U18 Touch trial game vs Churchie Wed 10 Oct Iona Water Polo trials Fri 12 Oct AIC Track and Field Meet Sun 14 Oct Sailing volunteering information/working bee Wed 17 Oct AIC Water Polo Thurs 18 Oct AIC Track and Field Meet Sun 21 Oct Sailing training (TBC) Mon 22 Oct AIC Track and Field Championships (Twilight) Tues 23 Oct AIC Track and Field Championships Wed 24 Oct AIC Water Polo Fri 26 Oct Blessing of the Sailing Fleet 4.00pm Sun 28 Oct Round 1 Fleet / Team Racing Sailing
