Diana-Maria DĂIAN PhD Candidate, Doctoral School History.Civilization. Culture, Faculty of History and Philosophy, Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Diana-Maria Dăian took her Master s degree with a paper focusing on the image of the monk Sofronie, the leader of one of the most important confessional movements that affected Transylvania during the second half of the 18 th century (1759-1761) and that was directed against the Romanian Church united with Rome. She developed a dissertation on the comparative analysis of the elements of tradition and innovation that defined the Transylvanian Dominican and Franciscan activity during the 16 th and 17 th centuries. The defensive missionary strategies of the Catholic orders (Jesuits, Franciscans) in seventeenth-century Calvinist Transylvania represents the theme for her doctoral dissertation. Interested in the medieval and pre-modern European as well as Romanian history, the history of the Roman Church in the Middle Ages and at the time of the Reformation, Latin and Cyrillic Paleography.Erasmus scholar within the University of Pisa (Italia), department of Civilizations and Forms of Knowledge (October 2014-January 2015) where she benefited from a research placement for her doctoral thesis. In his MA thesis he studied the image and the reception of the French political regimes in the Romanian society of Transylvania, during the 19th century. Adrian Cosmin IUŞAN Adrian CosminIuşan is Postgraduate student at Faculty of History and Philosophy from "Babeş-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca.
