Special Interest The 2018 Ouachita Expression Memorial Artist Spotlight Tyrone Lewis Raised in a family of artist his maternal grandfather, Hans Hubbard, a respected Fort Worth artist settled near Mena, Arkansas and always welcomed his grandson in to his studio. Thus, did Tyrone learn to appreciate and create art. Desiring to pursue an artistic career, he graduated with a B.F.A. degree from the Memphis College of the Arts, and then worked as an interior designer for residential and commercial properties and as a fashion coordinator for Federated Department Stores. Always He painted. Tyrone has been featured in multiple regional juried shows throughout the United States. Galleries in Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, Arizona and New Mexico, and others. He can also be found in the Arkansas Encyclopedia of Arts and Culture. Of his work Tyrone says, Having been influenced by my grandfather, I found my first endeavors in the visual arts, were portrayals of the landscape SPECIAL NOTES: 1.
