Summer Camp by Tea Learning Tea Learning provides quality education within a safe and welcoming environment. Students learn English in the classroom but also through exploring Britain s unique culture. Students go on and taking part in a range of exclusive and unique activities and experiences. This helps them understand British culture, providing them new insights to Britain and the English Language. We run our summer camp at the University of. Our two week summer camp includes:! 15 hours / week of English lessons! Two full day and three half day excursions! Hands on cultural activities! Traditional British sports! Staff/student ratio 1:6! An exclusive award ceremony hosted by the Mayor of! Own bedroom with ensuite bathroom facilities We aim for our students to:! Have fun improving English skills! Build confidence in speaking English and their communication skills! Develop cultural awareness and appreciation The City of A historic city founded over 2000 years ago. has a range of attractions from the 11th Century Cathedral, which is the final resting place of Prince Arthur and King John. It is also surrounded by the beauty of the English countryside. University of s facilities The University campus is just outside the city centre. It has modern classrooms, facilities & accommodation. The University s sporting facilities are often used as the training base for Team Great Britain's Paralympic squad. The accommodation is newly built in 2009. Discover British history Our programme allows students to visit historical sites in Britain with a number of exclusive and private tours. These excursions help students understand Britain, its history and culture. All students will be visiting at least 4 different historical sites, some of which are described below. Montgomery Castle Welshpool & Llanfair light railway Mid Wales: Visit Montgomery Castle one of the oldest Welsh castles and travel in a private carriage on a light steam railway. Stratford-upon-Avon Cathedral Cathedral: Students are given a guided tour by experts of this beautiful ancient cathedral. Stratford-upon-Avon: Birthplace of Shakespeare, the world s most famous English writer. We take students on an exclusive tour of Shakespeare s school. Oxford: Students visit the famous university city and go punting Bristol: Students visit this modern city with a rich mari history and go on a private tour of the world's famous ship SS Great Britain, built by famous engineer Brunel in 1843. Build friendships through traditional sports Cricket at Bishop s Castle Sports Hall All activities form an important part of understanding Britain, its history and its culture. We find that playing sports is a great way to achieve this whilst also developing team-building skills. British cultural experiences Our students learn about culture by engaging in traditional activities. By doing so, we find the students have a huge amount of fun, whilst improving their English and their confidence. Walking in the English countryside We take our students on a walk through the beautiful English countryside. They get to see rural Britain up close, a unique experience in addition to Britain s towns and cities.
