Digital Degree Apprenticeship opportunities with KPMG in the Channel Islands In association with the University of Exeter and Trackers The Apprenticeship Programme and Digital Greenhouse, we are delighted to be able Digital Degree Apprenticeships. The successful candidates will be enrolled as Degree Apprentices on the University of Exeter s BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions programme. Degree Apprenticeships are a new way of studying. They offer a fully-funded pathway to higher education funded by KPMG in the Channel Islands and the States of Guernsey/States of Jersey. Students will receive an apprentice salary and will not be required to pay any tuition fees for the duration of the programme. Through this 4 year programme students will develop technical and professional skills, applying these immediately to internal and commercial client projects. We are delighted to be able to offer this apprenticeship for September entry and would encourage applications from ambitious and talented candidates with predicted A levels of AAB or equivalent. Our opportunity KPMG in the Channel Islands We are seeking to combine our long heritage of sector expertise with our growing digital capabilities. Our ambition is to strengthen our combined service offering to clients by applying our understanding of the latest digital trends in financial services and guide our clients through the drivers and challenges as they embrace digital. The Digital Team Our Digital team works across different aspects of digital technologies from experimenting with cutting edge technologies to robotic process automation and protecting client s digital assets with cyber security. Cyber security and digitalisation are strategic growth areas for KPMG globally and we are determined to focus on these areas in the Channel Islands. The team works pan-island and is growing rapidly. The programme and benefits This is a four year programme commencing September 2019, apprentices are entitled to: - 14,000-19,000 salary (whilst training) All tuition fees for the BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions course taught by and awarded by the University of Exeter 23 days holiday Study leave and travel costs associated with residential learning Private medical insurance A thriving sports and social calendar, similar to what you would find at university 4

Your opportunity The Digital Apprentice As an apprentice you will engage in internal R&D and commercial client projects, providing you with the foundations on which to apply and deepen your learning. These will relate to digital and information technologies and cyber security. You will receive significant on-the-job training and coaching to develop a broad set of digital, technical and consulting skills. Towards the end of your studies you will be required to develop a deeper specialism in either data analytics or cyber security. This is a fast-track route to digital and technology consulting, with the ability to influence strategic decision making as technical and business knowledge deepens. The academic partner for this apprenticeship is the University of Exeter, and apprentices will work towards a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions. Study will be through a combination of a 3-4 day residential block once per term at the university's campus and work-based projects. More information on this degree can be found here. Candidate requirements You will have a genuine enthusiasm for learning about digital innovation and problem solving through the application of digital technologies and you will be required to demonstrate this during the selection process. The successful candidates will be expected to take control of their own learning and have the ability to manage their own workload. We are looking for candidates who are able to learn independently and are skilled in knowing how to effectively draw upon the support available to them. Candidates will be expected to satisfy the entry requirements for this degree apprenticeship set by the University of Exeter. The typical offer is AAB at A-Level, or equivalent. Where candidates are awaiting exam results, any offer made will be conditional on meeting the entry requirements. Programme FAQs What is a degree apprenticeship? Apprentices are full-time employees, gaining a University of Exeter degree over 4 years through: 8-10 days of residential teaching in Exeter (September, January and May) Online learning comprising webinars, interactive exercises and recorded lectures Work-based learning, assessing projects undertaken in the workplace Approximately 20% of the apprentice s time will be given over to study. Who funds the apprenticeship? 2/3 of the tuition fees will be funded by KPMG in the Channel Islands, with 1/3 funded by The States of Guernsey/States of Jersey. All travel and accommodation costs associated with residential learning will be funded by KPMG in the Channel Islands. What support will be available to me? You will be assigned three mentors who will support your academic learning, personal and professional development. Locally you will have a workplace mentor and a mentor from Trackers in Jersey or the Digital Greenhouse in Guernsey. You will have daily contact with your workplace mentor who will be a senior manager specialising in digital consulting. You will meet with your external mentor one-to-one every 3 weeks and quarterly together with your workplace mentor. You will also have an academic mentor available through the University of Exeter. 6
