Personalised Progress Cards - Personalised Progress card tracker. - Key information - Target for Progress 8 (P8) = +0.5 - Target for Attendance is 95% - English and Maths Counts for double points! -Students will receive a progress card per module so they can track their own learning. - Quality Assurance: form tutors will be checking, random checks will be made by the Senior Leadership Team, class/subject teachers will check alongside mentors

Spoken Language Endorsement Your child may have completed this before the summer break, if not they will be making their presentation in Module 1. 1.A topic of their choice 2.Can use a powerpoint, handouts, props 3.Presentation of topic - five minutes in length 4.Student has to answer questions about their topic from the class teacher/audience 5.Total presentation must not exceed 10 minutes in length.

REVISION Thursday 3.40-5.00 By invitation (Oct - Dec) All Y11 History (Jan onwards) There will be half-term/end of term revision sessions - check the website for details. All students will be able to access a set of revision cards for each exam. Parents can help support by going through the cards to assist with embedding knowledge and developing student recall. Past papers are available online on the Edexcel website, as well as Examiners Reports with some exemplar answers.

GCSE GEOGRAPHY
COURSE OVERVIEW At GCSE. Students at Wilmington follow the AQA A syllabus, a linear course made up of three components. UNIT 1: PHYSICAL PAPER A 1 HOUR 30 minute external examination paper based on three physical units 37.5% - 75 marks UNIT 2: HUMAN PAPER A 1 HOUR 30 minute external examination paper based on three human units 37.5% - 84 marks Unit 3: Local Fieldwork investigation Controlled Assessment 25% - 60 marks
COURSE OVERVIEW Over the period of years 10-11, pupils study six units, three human and three physical as follows: Human Units: Tourism, Population Growth and Changing Urban Environments Physical Units: The Coastal Zone, Water on the Land and The Restless earth. During the course, pupils gain a range of geographical skills including data collection and analysis, numerical manipulation, graphical and cartographical skills, problem solving, and literacy and numeracy.
